DPR IAN “suffocates” surrounded by Vietnamese fans

DPR IAN (real name: Christian Yu) just landed in Hanoi at 10:40 a.m. on August 22, preparing for the 8Wonder 2025: Moments of Wonder music festival taking place on August 23 at the National Exhibition Center (Tu Lien Bridge Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi City).

This is one of the hottest music events in August with the participation of famous international artists such as DJ Snake (Europe), J Balvin (Latin America), The Kid LAROI (Australia), DPR IAN (Asia) and Vietnamese artists including Soobin, Hoa Minzy, tlinh and (S)TRONG Trong Hieu.

The concert is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, affirming Vietnam's position as a leading festival and entertainment destination in the region, thereby honoring the spirit of a strong Vietnam and its desire to reach out. Vingroup 's 8Wonder concert also demonstrates the desire to bring Vietnamese culture to the world.

Fans said "come back to enjoy the 2-9 atmosphere"

On the morning of August 22, Noi Bai airport lobby was packed with fans waiting since early morning with banners, slogans, and conical hats, expressing their warm feelings when the "national husband" DPR IAN returned to Vietnam.

From afar, DPR IAN stood out with his radiant appearance and "cool" black glasses and simple, masculine outfit of jeans and T-shirt.

The long flight did not reduce the artist's energy or charm.

Due to the large number of fans, the organizers had to arrange a security team to help him move from the airport to the car, to the hotel to rest and prepare for tomorrow's show.

Surrounded by fans, DPR IAN smiled brightly, friendly and raised his hand to greet continuously. He also made many people "heartbroken" because of his closeness, friendliness, and especially cuteness when he diligently interacted, made a heart shape, and wore a mini hat printed with the Vietnamese national flag that fans gave him. He also blew kisses and greeted again before getting in the car to leave the airport and promised to see everyone at the music festival tomorrow (August 23).

As soon as he returned, the image of the artist appearing at the airport immediately went viral on entertainment forums. Fans exclaimed, “so cool, honey”, “so cute”, “he’s so happy to be back in Vietnam”…

Some fans are as funny as this: "After the performance, stay and watch the September 2nd parade", "I'm coming back to enjoy the September 2nd atmosphere".

The food team would ask, "Where is your food tour tonight? We'll wait for you." or "Let's go to Cho Gao to have some vermicelli and fried tofu."

Currently, DPR IAN is a hot keyword on the internet, attracting thousands of likes, comments and shares. Some of the performances that Vietnamese fans are most looking forward to include Winterfall, Merry Go, Ribbon, Ballroom Extravaganza, Calilo…

Previously, in the clip confirming his participation in 8Wonder, IAN said he loves and misses the Vietnamese audience, and is very excited to see everyone again after the K-pop music festival in June.

Early this morning (August 22), before the plane took off, the artist posted a photo of himself sitting on the plane and said he was on his way to Vietnam with the caption “See you soon” . It can be seen that the artist is very excited and eager to return to Vietnam to perform for the second time.

DPR IAN is truly a "heartthrob", the Korean artist scores points with his charming, energetic performance style, impressive visuals, and cinematic quality.

Previously, in June when he came to Vietnam to perform, DPR IAN immediately caused a stir and quickly became the beloved "national husband" in Vietnam, so when there was information that he would perform at 8Wonder, fans planned to buy tickets to "follow" the husband at all costs.

Born in 1990 in Australia, IAN's music is diverse, from pop, EDM, RnB alternative, house, to Britpop... He is also behind unique MVs of many K-pop artists and himself such as No Blueberries, Don't Go Insane, Peanut Butter & Tears, So I Danced, Limbo, Wake Me Up... most recently IU's MV Shoppe .

Director Blonde Nguyen shared that at the 8Wonder music festival, the audience will witness many unique experiences and multinational cultures. IAN, with his exotic sense and the feeling of swaying between cultures as well as his heart full of hidden and different feelings, will add a unique color to the lineup from all over the world at the hottest music festival this August.
