Since its establishment in 2004, through many stages, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board has always performed well the task of managing, attracting investment, and developing industrial parks and economic zones. Up to now, the province has 10 industrial parks established with a total area of ​​2,560 hectares; attracting 333 investment projects with a total registered investment capital of over 187,600 billion VND; of which there are 83 FDI investment projects with a total registered capital of 4.3 billion USD. Since the establishment of the economic zone, FDI attraction has increased rapidly from 43 projects in 2017 to 83 projects. The industrial production value of enterprises in economic zones and industrial parks in 2023 is estimated to reach 54,700 billion VND, accounting for over 60% of the province's industrial production value, an increase of 781 times compared to 2003. Taxes and payments to the state budget in 2023 are estimated to reach more than 1,700 billion VND, an increase of over 380 times compared to 2003. Economic zones and industrial parks are creating jobs for over 76,600 workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended generations of cadres and employees of the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board for their efforts to excellently complete assigned tasks and achieve proud results during 20 years of establishment and development.

Reiterating the goal of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, which is to strive to build Thai Binh into a fairly developed province by 2025, catch up with the leading group by 2030, and become a developed province in the Red River Delta region by 2045; the task of building and developing the Economic Zone to become a key point and driving force for the province's economic development in the entire 2020-2025 term and the following terms, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the collective leadership and each employee of the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board to continue to thoroughly grasp and clearly understand the position, role, and responsibility in building and developing the Economic Zone and Industrial Parks for the socio-economic development of the province. Continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and the achieved results, overcome difficulties, and strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks. Grasp the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party and State to do a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee on the construction and development of economic zones and industrial parks. Continue to innovate thinking and working methods, focus on administrative reform, digital transformation, especially in handling administrative procedures in the field of attracting investment in economic zones and industrial parks. Build a team of responsible, professional, highly qualified staff with strong political will to meet the requirements of the task, support investors to effectively carry out investment and business activities in industrial parks and economic zones; focus on completing the infrastructure of industrial parks, especially the infrastructure of economic zones.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Management Board to better coordinate with provincial departments, branches, localities as well as central ministries and branches; regularly exchange and learn from the experiences of provinces and cities in attracting investment. Proactively strengthen investment promotion in economic zones and industrial parks; resolutely implement key tasks, projects and key works in the economic zones. Regularly grasp the situation of enterprises in economic zones and industrial parks, create favorable conditions, support and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for investors and enterprises in the process of project implementation and production and business activities.

The Provincial Party Secretary thanked the Government, ministries and central branches for their attention, direction and support in helping Thai Binh rise up in economic development, especially promoting the construction and development of economic zones, industrial parks and attracting investment; at the same time, he hoped to continue to receive more direction, companionship and support so that Thai Binh could successfully complete its socio-economic development goals.
