Each costume represents the nuances and stages of growth from flowering, small fruit to ripe red lychee. The scenery of lychee gardens, full baskets of lychee are cleverly incorporated into the details and colors of the costumes. With the image of a hard-working, diligent, creative farmer, the costumes have a traditional feel.
According to young designer Hue Anh, the lychee motifs are meticulously embroidered, knitted and shaped. She and her artisans spent more than 100 hours on the embroidery, dyeing and watercolor painting from plant colors. In particular, to create the bright color of the lychee when it is ripe red, the designer mixed her own dye from purely natural materials. She made use of recycled materials from used clothes, hoping that the products would have a longer lifespan.
“If I have the opportunity, I will always be willing to use fashion to convey humane messages and promote prestigious Vietnamese products. As well as Vietnamese culture and people. And this is the first collection I have made with this spirit, and in the future I will launch a series of collections to combine promoting Vietnamese culture, beauty of people and tourism in my fashion products," said the young designer.
It is known that next September, designer Hue Anh will continue to launch a personal collection inspired by childhood memories in the countryside of the Northern Delta. From environmentally friendly materials, naturally dyed fabrics. Especially the motifs are attached from corn husks.
Hue Anh is a designer with a strong personal style with traditional fashion, Vietnamese culture, blending modern elements with world fashion trends. In 2023, Hue Anh left many impressions when participating and performing the collection "24". The collection was inspired by Sa Pa Town and the costumes of the H'Mong ethnic group, brocade, along with natural materials.
She is also one of the few Vietnamese designers to attend and present her collection at the Vietnam Week in Beppu city, Japan, a program within the framework of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations.
