The Vietnamese delegation had two meetings with the leaders of the Myanmar Rescue Department, chaired by the Myanmar Minister of Social Welfare and Reconstruction. Here, the Myanmar government thanked the Vietnamese rescue team.

According to plan, the Vietnamese rescue team will return home next week.

As of 5:30 p.m. today, the rescue team of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security discovered and removed 28 bodies from the rubble, saving 1 person.

Previously, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, sent a letter to officers and professional soldiers participating in earthquake recovery in Myanmar.

In the letter, General Phan Van Giang expressed that the officers in the working group did not mind the difficulties to coordinate the search, bring the victims out of the collapsed area, and hand them over to the government of the neighboring country. That activity deeply demonstrated the noble international spirit, the fine traditions of the nation and the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Notably, during the search and rescue process, Vietnam's forces were highly appreciated by Myanmar as well as forces from other countries participating in the rescue.
