At the ceremony, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen handed over the decision of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Duong Anh Duc, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the District 1 Party Committee.

Before being assigned to hold the position of Secretary of District 1 Party Committee, Mr. Duong Anh Duc had held the following positions: Principal of the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

At the 15th Session (special session) of the 10th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, held on the morning of May 19, the City People's Council carried out the work of appointing key officials of the city.

Accordingly, the meeting elected Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation as Vice Chairmen of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

As a result, Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai and Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy were elected as Vice Chairmen of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Also at the meeting, delegates elected Mr. Vo Ngoc Quoc Thuan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, as a member of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Implementing the meeting plan, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has dismissed Mr. Duong Anh Duc and Mr. Ngo Minh Chau from the positions of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, due to being transferred and assigned other tasks.

Two Heads of the City Party Committee were added to the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the afternoon of May 21, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to complete the personnel of the Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity of Ho Chi Minh City (Steering Committee).

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to add to the Steering Committee Mr. Ngo Minh Chau, Member of the City Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Member of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the City Party Committee. In which, Mr. Ngo Minh Chau holds the position of Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee and Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet holds the position of Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

At the ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen presented the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the transfer and assignment of Mr. Ngo Minh Chau, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, to hold the position of Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee until the retirement date according to regulations.

Mr. Ngo Minh Chau, 60 years old, is from Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. He has the rank of Major General, a Master of Law, and a Senior in Political Theory. Mr. Chau has held the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee since May 2019, in charge of internal affairs.

At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Hong Tham announced the decision of the City People's Committee approving the election results of the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio district, term XI, 2021 - 2026 for Mr. Vo Huu Thang, District Party Committee member, Head of the Urban Management Department of Can Gio district.
