Adjusting the Provincial Planning and Implementation Plan of Dak Lak Provincial Planning after merger

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to prepare a Report on the implementation results of the Provincial Planning (merging Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces), as a basis for adjusting the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 (after the merger).

At the same time, draft the adjustment of the Plan to implement the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 (after consolidation). After the Provincial Planning is approved for adjustment, the Department of Finance will advise the competent authority to issue the adjustment of the Plan to implement the Provincial Planning, ensuring strict compliance with regulations.

For departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards in the province, based on assigned functions and tasks, review the Provincial Planning dossier, the Provincial Planning Implementation Plan (former Dak Lak province and former Phu Yen province), on that basis, propose adjustments and supplements to the Provincial Planning dossier, the Provincial Planning Implementation Plan (after consolidation) to ensure compliance with current regulations and be responsible for the information, data and content provided, and proposed adjustments.

The new Dak Lak province was established on the basis of merging the entire area and population of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces. The new Dak Lak province has a natural area of over 18,096 ^km2 , a population of 3,346,853 people, bordering Gia Lai , Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong provinces.

Before the merger, the old Dak Lak province and the old Phu Yen province had their respective provincial planning approved. Therefore, after the merger, the provincial planning needs to be adjusted to suit the area and population size of the new province.
