On April 14, 2025, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province issued a Plan to organize the Flag Raising Ceremony and Inauguration of A Pa Chai Flagpole in Sin Thau commune, Muong Nhe district.

The ceremony will be held on May 7, 2025, the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The inauguration ceremony will be held at the border intersection of the three countries Vietnam - Laos - China. The flag raising ceremony will be held at the flagpole yard, high point 1432, coordinates 8088206986 in Sin Thau commune, Muong Nhe district.

A Pa Chai Flagpole was started construction in October 2023, with a height of more than 45m, marking the border intersection of the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - China, while also carrying cultural and tourism values.

This is an important project to affirm the sovereignty of Vietnam's national border in the far west of the country; at the same time, educate the love for the homeland, promote the heroic revolutionary tradition of the nation and arouse the sense of responsibility and pride of every Vietnamese person in general, and the people of Dien Bien province in particular, in managing and protecting the sovereignty of the territory and national border security.
