This exercise has many new features such as for the first time, 28 ministries and branches participated in the exercise steering committee, directing Hanoi city to conduct the exercise, demonstrating the great concern of ministries, branches and localities for the task of national defense, security and protection of the Fatherland.

In particular, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense mobilized a large number of forces and means from units in Hanoi, including 16 focal points: Air Defense - Air Force, Army Corps 12, Command 86, Border Guard Command, Coast Guard Command, military branches, academies; schools; Central Military Hospital 108...

The live-fire combat exercise with the theme "Infantry regiment reinforced with technical weapons attacks the enemy temporarily defending" took place at many locations such as the National Shooting Range Region 1, Hoa Thach Shooting Range, Dong Doi Shooting Range, Xuan Bang Shooting Range.

The practical exercise took place in 3 phases, with the coordination of military branches and arms with many forms of combat, using many types of weapons, equipment, and modern techniques manufactured, improved, produced by the army, using information technology applications, and transmitting images directly during the exercise.

Speaking at the exercise, General Phan Van Giang said that the forces, military branches, and especially the infantry on the battlefield were well coordinated, demonstrating good training, and the combat shooting practice process ensured absolute safety on all training grounds.

General Phan Van Giang also congratulated the results achieved, and requested that after the exercise, agencies and units draw lessons, organize a summary of rewards, pay special attention to checking weapons and equipment systems; mobilize to the unit to continue checking the technical condition, carry out preservation and maintenance of weapons and equipment according to regulations, ensuring absolute safety.

Hanoi city is located in the general defense position of the whole country, holding a particularly important strategic position.

Therefore, this exercise is one of the city's very important political tasks in 2024, practically celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, the 80th anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army, and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
