Ia Ko commune was established on the basis of merging 03 administrative units, including: Ia Ko, Ia Hlop and Ia Hla. During the 2020 - 2025 term, despite many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee, government and people of the (old) communes have strived and achieved many outstanding and comprehensive results in all fields. The work of building the Party and the political system has been focused on, the model of "Four Good Party Cells" has been effectively implemented; inspection and supervision work has been strengthened. The activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have had many positive changes.

Total production value in 2025 (at comparable prices) will reach nearly 1,069 billion VND (of which: agriculture, forestry and fishery will reach 634.4 billion VND, trade and services will reach more than 261 billion VND, small-scale industry and construction will reach 172.8 billion VND). Economic growth rate will reach 7.67% compared to 2024. Average income per capita by 2025 will reach 37.3 million VND/person/year.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the total budget revenue reached nearly 205 billion VND, reaching 105% compared to the Resolution. The commune has integrated many programs and projects to develop ethnic minority areas, contributing to improving infrastructure and improving people's lives. The traffic system was invested with a total cost of nearly 26 billion VND; irrigation works, schools, cultural houses... were built with a total capital of 31.5 billion VND.

The cultural and social fields have achieved many positive results, cultural, educational , health and social security activities have been given attention and gradually improved. Policies for people with meritorious services, poverty reduction and social protection have been fully implemented, contributing to maintaining social stability and improving the quality of people's lives.

At the congress, delegates promoted the spirit of responsibility, promoted democracy and intelligence, focused on comprehensively assessing the implementation of the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates for the 2020-2025 term, pointed out the limitations, shortcomings and causes; determined the directions, goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, the Congress also focused on reviewing the leadership role of the Party Executive Committee of the commune; pointed out the advantages and disadvantages in leadership and direction, especially the limitations and shortcomings due to subjectivity, thereby drawing lessons in leadership and direction, creating a solid premise for the Party Executive Committee of the commune to organize and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Ia Ko Commune Party Committee strives for an average annual growth rate of 8.9% in total product value; of which: agriculture, forestry and fishery reach 6.8%; industry and construction reach 15.8%; services reach 10.5%. Retail sales of goods and services reach 2,981 billion VND; attracting 10 new projects. The rate of population participating in health insurance reaches 95%. 100% of rural residents use clean water. The rate of new party members admitted each year is 3% of the total party members of the Party Committee.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang praised and congratulated the achievements of the Party Committees, authorities and people of the three former communes and now Ia Ko commune. He emphasized: The first Congress of the Ia Ko Commune Party Committee has a particularly important meaning, being the starting point in a new development stage, a hinge for the goal of building Ia Ko commune into an advanced new rural commune, moving towards a commune that meets urban criteria in the future.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Party Committee of Ia Ko commune to focus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; building a professional government serving the people, strongly shifting from administrative management thinking to serving and providing public services; taking the satisfaction of people and businesses as a measure of the quality of the government apparatus's operations. Strongly innovate the leadership methods of Party committees; focus on ideological work, organization, inspection, supervision, and mass mobilization; improve the quality of Party cell activities, effectively promote the models of "Four-good Party cells", "Party members helping households escape poverty", "Party members setting an example". The heads of Party committees, governments, and organizations must be truly exemplary, have courage, practical capacity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate for the common good.

At the same time, clearly defining that planning must be one step ahead, Ia Ko commune needs to proactively coordinate with departments and branches to review, establish and submit for approval the master plan for the development of Ia Ko commune for the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2050, in accordance with the actual conditions and general development orientation of the province. Maximize the potential and advantages of land, labor, infrastructure and farming traditions to develop the agricultural economy in the direction of commodity production, high-tech application, forming raw material areas associated with processing industry and value chains. Encourage the development of collective economy, new-style cooperatives, cooperative groups and individual business households. Increase the attraction of enterprises to invest in the fields of agriculture, agricultural logistics services, rural trade and services. Coordinate with provincial agencies to support the transfer of science and technology, traceability, and build brands and trademarks of OCOP products.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that Ia Ko commune urgently implement digital transformation according to three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society. Focus on digitizing all population data, administrative management, personnel records, administrative procedures; effectively deploy management and operation software; modernize the "one-stop" department, provide online public services throughout the process. Strive to build Ia Ko into a locality with stable and sustainable development; gradually improve the quality of people's material and spiritual life, maintain national defense and security; build a clean and strong Party and political system, actively contributing to the overall development of Gia Lai province.

The Congress announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Ia Ko Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, the Executive Committee consists of 21 comrades; Comrade Duong Manh Man was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Ia Ko Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
