The above positive signal shows that President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariff plan announced in April and then went through several months of uncertainty with "turnaround" moves, delays and negotiations, has not yet affected this company in particular and other companies operating in the textile and garment industry in the province.

Evidence, the report on the socio -economic situation in July and the first 7 months of 2025 of Lam Dong Provincial Statistics recorded that the output of footwear products in 7 months was 3,558,000 pairs, 2.08 times higher than the same period. The reason is that the business received more orders and increased capacity at Nam Ha Vietnam Shoes Company Limited.

Footwear is also the product with the highest increase among the 15 main products in the province. Meanwhile, other products all showed increased output compared to the same period last year. For example, frozen vegetables and fruits reached more than 11,000 tons, up 20.53%, opening the way to large supermarkets such as Mega Market and exporting to Malaysia and Indonesia. Or surprisingly, cashew nuts reached 11,780 tons, up sharply 23.2%, thanks to the high export price of cashew nuts. In addition, ready-made clothing products of all kinds reached 22,732,000 pieces, up 17.09%; aluminum products reached nearly 897,000 tons, up 3.58%...

According to Lam Dong Provincial Statistics, the industrial sector has made positive changes, in which the processing and manufacturing industry continues to play a key role with the highest proportion. In general, the growth momentum of the industry has been maintained stably, as a result of the recovery of production in key areas and contributions from new projects.

2. On August 7, the new reciprocal tax rate officially took effect for countries and territories that have trade relations with the US. In the province, the 20% tax rate applied to Vietnamese enterprises exporting goods to the US was not much affected, because textiles and garments mainly go to the Taiwanese market; seafood products are also exported to the US, but not significantly.

According to the leader of Nam Ha Vietnam Shoes Company Limited, in the corporation there are a few subsidiaries that produce shoes under the Nike brand, which export to the US market but only account for 4-6%. As for the company itself, it focuses on producing shoes under the French Solomon brand, so it exports to many markets around the world, without much impact.

Similarly, businesses in industrial parks in the province also export goods to many markets around the world, so at this time, the story of "dividing eggs into many baskets" is really valuable.

According to the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, to date, industrial parks (IPs) in the province have attracted a total of 234 investment projects, including 187 domestic projects and 47 foreign projects. The leased land area reached 756.6 hectares out of a total of 1,520 hectares of commercial land, corresponding to an occupancy rate of 49.78%. In addition, a number of other IPs are in the process of infrastructure construction, including Tuy Phong IP, Son My 1, Son My 2 (in the old Binh Thuan) and Phu Binh IP (in the old Lam Dong) with the expectation of being a new driving force for development in the coming time.

Notably, in July, the labor utilization index in industrial parks increased by 1.94% compared to the previous month and by 4.27% compared to the same period last year. The reason was that a number of new enterprises were established, and at the same time, many enterprises increased recruitment to meet production progress according to new orders arising in the month.

According to many people, with the current data, the scenario of building the growth rate of the industrial sector in 2025 to 6.2%, in which the processing and manufacturing industry increases by 4.7% is feasible. But the reality from now until the end of the year, especially the US's reciprocal tax policy, which not only directly but also indirectly affects, is unpredictable.
