Today, January 11, in Linh Truong commune, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri Newspaper Trade Union in collaboration with Zuna Edu Center for Creativity and Skills and Truc Minh Lam Company Limited organized the program "Spring changes new clothes" for students in difficult circumstances at Linh Truong Primary School. This is a meaningful activity within the program "Quang Tri Newspaper's Compassionate Arms".

At the program, the delegation members presented more than 120 gifts, worth 150,000 VND each, to students of Linh Truong Primary School. Most of the students receiving the gifts were Van Kieu people, from poor or near-poor households... Having a new shirt and a Tet gift is the children's greatest wish every spring.

Ho Minh Quan, a student of class 5A2, shared: “This year’s Tet holiday will definitely be happier because of the gift from the volunteer group. My family is very poor. It’s not every year that I can buy clothes for Tet...”.

In addition to the meaningful gifts, in the program "New Spring", the Quang Tri Newspaper Union, Zuna Edu Center for Creativity and Skills and Truc Minh Lam Company Limited also organized activities to introduce the traditional New Year; life skills education; cultural and artistic exchanges... with local students. In coordination with the school, the volunteer group cooked and distributed warm bowls of porridge to the students.

Teacher Le Thi Lien, Principal of Linh Truong Primary School, said that the school currently has 376 students studying at 4 campuses. Most of the students are Van Kieu ethnic people, living in very difficult circumstances. When spring comes, what the children look forward to most are new clothes and Tet gifts...

“We are very grateful to the Quang Tri Newspaper Union, Zuna Edu Creativity and Skills Center and Truc Minh Lam Company Limited for bringing the joy of Tet early to disadvantaged students at the school. Seeing the smiles of the students, my colleagues and I are also happy,” Ms. Lien shared.
