On the afternoon of September 5, in Ha Long City, the General Statistics Office held a conference to announce the decision on personnel work for the Provincial Statistics Office. Attending online at the Hanoi bridge point was comrade Nguyen Thi Huong, General Director of the General Statistics Office. On the side of Quang Ninh province, there was comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

At the conference, the General Statistics Office announced Decision No. 1160/QD-TCTK of the General Director of the General Statistics Office on the appointment of Ms. Ngo Thi Van, Deputy Director in charge of the Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics Office, to the position of Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics Office. General Director Nguyen Thi Huong believes that with her experience in her work, Ms. Ngo Thi Van will continue to promote her capacity in management, direction and operation, especially in training and fostering, to work with the collective leadership and civil servants of the Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics Office to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

Attending the conference, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the decision and congratulated Comrade Ngo Thi Van on being trusted and appointed to the new position by the General Statistics Office. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Comrade Ngo Thi Van and the Party Committee and the collective of the Provincial Statistics Office to continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, promote the achieved results, absorb, deploy and perform well the tasks assigned by the General Director of the General Statistics Office.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Cao Tuong Huy also requested the Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics Office to continue to focus on advising and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee to direct and effectively implement the goals, tasks and solutions of the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050, and the economic growth scenarios for each quarter, 6 months, 9 months and the whole year of 2024. Second, continue to further improve the quality of statistical information, promptly forecast major fluctuations in each sector and field, serving the direction and administration of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee. Third, innovate statistical work, methods and regimes, enhance the application of information technology, digitize data in statistical activities; promote the provision and dissemination of statistical information, meeting the increasingly high requirements and tasks of the province's socio-economic development in the coming years. Fourth, coordinate well and guide departments, branches, sectors and localities to implement statistical work in accordance with regulations; take measures to consolidate and further improve the quality of statistical work at communes, wards, towns and district levels.

Speaking at the new position, Ms. Ngo Thi Van expressed her honor and pride, affirming that she will try her best, overcome difficulties, proactively innovate, adapt, and excellently complete all assigned responsibilities. At the same time, she called on each civil servant and employee of the Quang Ninh Statistics sector to uphold their sense of responsibility to perform their professional tasks well in line with the motto "Cohesion - Democracy - Courage - Responsibility - Creativity on the principles of honesty, objectivity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness" in statistical activities.
