Vietnam's engineers, military doctors and air force practice handling earthquake disaster situations

In recent days, Vietnamese peacekeeping forces have continued activities in the specialized skills training phase of the Vietnam-India Bilateral Exercise on United Nations Peacekeeping (VINBAX 2024).

Accordingly, the engineering department studies theory in class about explosives awareness and procedures for handling explosives at the United Nations peacekeeping mission.

At the same time, Vietnamese engineers attended a meeting to disseminate the process and content of the two-day quality assessment exercise before entering the overall exercise.

The military medical team participated in the practice of triage, first aid and transfer of casualties in the case of mass casualties due to earthquake and building collapse with about 30 victims at Ambala Military Hospital.

Along with that, the Vietnamese air force participated in observing the Indian army air force, supporting engineers in transporting equipment to build the United Nations base according to a predetermined scenario.

Previously, Vietnamese and Indian engineering forces coordinated together to practice clearing mines and explosives to ensure safety for United Nations peacekeeping forces.
