During the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing, together with the People's Public Security force of the whole country, right from the first days of gaining power, the Public Security organization in the two provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang was soon formed. In January 1946, the Lien Phong Department - the first organization of the Ha Giang Public Security was officially established and put into operation. In Tuyen Quang, the predecessor organization was the Tru Gian (later changed to Lien Phong Department) established in August 1945, and in July 1946, the Tuyen Quang Public Security Department was established on the basis of merging the Lien Phong Department and the Police Department.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Duc Thuan, Director of the Provincial Police Department, affirmed that under the leadership of the Party and the Central Police Department, the Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang Police forces have continuously grown and developed through the resistance wars against French colonialism and the US to save the country. During the resistance war against France, Tuyen Quang was chosen as the "Capital of Resistance", marking many silent feats in protecting the safety of Central agencies, Uncle Ho and senior leaders. Despite hardships and dangers, the police officers and soldiers were steadfast, united, and ready to sacrifice for national independence, absolutely protecting the safety of President Ho Chi Minh , the Party Central Committee at Tan Trao Base Area, important conferences in the locality, especially the 2nd National Congress of the Party (1951) in Kim Binh commune, Chiem Hoa district (old)...

With its achievements and feats, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police force has been recognized by the Party and State, and awarded many noble awards such as: The title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Ho Chi Minh Medal, Exploit Medal, Resistance Medal for outstanding collectives and individuals. Over the past 20 years, the All People's Movement to Protect National Security has had many positive changes. The Festival has truly come to life, becoming a festival of the People, contributing significantly to maintaining security and order, effectively serving the economic and social development in the locality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh acknowledged and commended the achievements of the provincial police force and the security forces of agencies, enterprises, security and order protection teams at the grassroots level, residential group protection boards, and self-governing mass organizations, who have actively participated in the task of ensuring security and order, contributing greatly to the economic, cultural and social development of the locality.

Authorized by the President and Prime Minister, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal and Certificates of Merit to individuals.

Faced with the requirements of the new situation, the police force of the whole province needs to continue to promote the achieved results, effectively organize and carry out the tasks of ensuring security and order, building the Party and building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern force to meet the requirements of the task.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Police force to continue to be exemplary and take the lead in implementing the Party's policies, first of all the Politburo's Resolution on national digital transformation, waste prevention, environmental pollution prevention and policies and resolutions of the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Kim Dung presented gifts of gratitude to relatives, families of war invalids, martyrs and war invalids of the People's Public Security.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 groups and 30 individuals for their outstanding achievements in advising and organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection and in the fight against crimes and drug-related violations on road traffic routes.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented gifts of gratitude to relatives, families of wounded soldiers, martyrs and wounded comrades of the People's Public Security.
