REMEMBER THE SIX THINGS UNCLE HO TEACHES

During his lifetime, Uncle Ho always paid special attention to the People's Public Security force. On March 11, 1948, in a letter to comrade Hoang Mai - Director of the Police Department of Zone XII, President Ho Chi Minh stated six contents on "The qualities of a revolutionary Public Security officer", which are: "Towards oneself, one must be diligent, frugal, honest, and upright/ Towards colleagues, one must be friendly and helpful/ Towards the Government, one must be absolutely loyal/ Towards the people, one must be respectful and polite/ Towards work, one must be devoted/ Towards the enemy, one must be resolute and clever".

This is the compass, the bright torch that guides all activities of the People's Public Security Force throughout the process of building, fighting and growing. With that meaning, March 11 every year has become the traditional day of building the People's Public Security Force.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Director of Nghe An Provincial Police emphasized that, keeping in mind Uncle Ho's Six Teachings, over the years, Nghe An Police force has thoroughly grasped and implemented his teachings; deeply imbued with and always seriously implemented Uncle Ho's Six Teachings; always determined that this is the goal, the ideal, the motto for action in the process of working, fighting and building a strong and comprehensive Police force.

During the past 76 years, with the slogan "Nghe An Police strive to compete in studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings", the entire force with high determination, great efforts, overcame countless difficulties and challenges, with intelligence, courage, creativity, established many feats, excellently completed the tasks assigned by the Party, State, and People; worthy of being the People's Police force in the heroic Soviet homeland, the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

Demonstrating the results and glorious achievements, at the ceremony, Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Director of Nghe An Public Security reviewed some of the strong imprints of studying and following his teachings associated with historical stages in the journey of construction, fighting and growing up.

Entering the period of innovation, with the goal of integration and development associated with ensuring national defense and security; in the new situation, with difficulties, challenges and comprehensive changes in all fields, Nghe An Police always strives, is proactive, makes efforts, is creative, and takes the lead in the emulation movement "For National Security".

Promoting tradition, with pride in being the police force in the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, generations of leaders, commanders, and officers of Nghe An Police with drastic, creative, fundamental, and methodical measures and solutions, build a spearhead in all areas of work.

Major General Bui Quang Thanh - Director of Nghe An Provincial Police emphasized that, inheriting the tradition and being worthy of the title of Heroic Unit, in any conditions and circumstances, the entire Nghe An Police force promises to engrave in mind and carry out well the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho for the People's Police, always be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; vow to devote all their efforts, intelligence, unite as one, and act with determination to serve the Fatherland and the People for the cause of ensuring security and order in the area.

Nghe An Police will constantly raise revolutionary vigilance, sharpen their fighting spirit, always have a "pure heart and bright mind"; "great ambition", determine that "honor is the most sacred and noble thing"; build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern Party organization and Police force; a team of cadres who are good at law, proficient, and sharp in their profession to meet the requirements of work in the new situation, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, General To Lam - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to Nghe An Provincial Police.

NGHE AN POLICE MUST BE "A MODEL, PIONEERING, AND OUTSTANDING UNIT" OF THE PEOPLE'S POLICE FORCE IN LEARNING AND IMPLEMENTING THE SIX TEACHINGS OF UNCLE HO

In his congratulatory speech, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy warmly commended the achievements, feats, and important contributions of generations of officers and soldiers of Nghe An Public Security in the past time and especially congratulated the comrades who were honored to be awarded the noble title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" by the Party and State.

Receiving the title of Hero is a great honor and pride for the Nghe An Police force; a common joy for the Party Committee, government and people of the province; a worthy recognition by the Party and State for the efforts and dedication of generations of officers and soldiers of Nghe An Police over the past 79 years. At the same time, it also places on the shoulders of each officer and soldier of the province a heavier responsibility, as the tasks in the coming time are forecasted to be full of difficulties and challenges.

In that context, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy expressed his belief and hope that Nghe An Police will uphold the tradition of the heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces, continue to unite, strive, train, compete to achieve more outstanding achievements and feats, always worthy of the title of "sharp sword", "solid steel shield" to protect the Fatherland, protect the Party, State and People. In particular, it is necessary to continue to promote the study and implementation of Uncle Ho's Six Teachings to become a regular, daily activity, a way of life, a way of thinking, and a way of working of each cadre and soldier.

Speaking at the ceremony, General To Lam - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security emphasized that Uncle Ho's Six Teachings to the People's Public Security are a profound and comprehensive legacy and legacy in all aspects of work, combat, training ethics and lifestyle of the People's Public Security officers and soldiers, becoming the guiding principle for all activities of the People's Public Security force.

Looking back on the 76-year journey of the People's Public Security Forces studying and implementing the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho, General To Lam affirmed: "We can proudly assess that the People's Public Security Forces have deeply recognized the meaning and extremely great value of the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho and have organized the study and implementation very effectively; thereby, constantly maturing and growing in all aspects, demonstrating heroic qualities, steadfastness, loyalty to the Party, filial piety to the People, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, establishing many glorious feats, affirming the position and role as the core force in the task of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, gradually building an orderly, disciplined, secure, safe and healthy society; truly being the "peaceful support" of the People, "when the people need, when the people are in trouble, the Public Security is there".

General To Lam said that the achievements and feats of the People's Public Security force demonstrate the solidarity, unity, great efforts and determination of the Public Security units, localities and all officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security. Among them, there are very important contributions and dedication of the Nghe An Provincial Public Security.

During the revolutionary stages, Nghe An Provincial Police have clearly demonstrated their pioneering and core role, with many innovations, flexibility and creativity in implementing the task of ensuring security and order, effectively serving the cause of construction and socio-economic development of the locality, deserving to be a typical police unit in the homeland of the great President Ho Chi Minh.

In the coming time, in order to successfully carry out the task of ensuring security and order and building the People's Public Security force in the spirit of Resolution No. 12, dated March 16, 2022 of the Politburo, General To Lam - Minister of Public Security requested the entire People's Public Security force in general and Nghe An Provincial Public Security in particular to continue to promote studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, the Six Teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security, considering this as the motto of action of the People's Public Security force in general and Nghe An Provincial Public Security in particular.

The entire People's Public Security force and Nghe An Provincial Public Security must continue to maintain internal solidarity, unity in awareness, will and action, uphold the spirit of "Serving the Fatherland, serving the People", "when the people need, when the people are in difficulty, there is the Public Security", always excellently completing all assigned tasks.

Every officer and soldier of the People's Public Security needs to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the content of the speech of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of the People's Public Security studying and implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings.

Nghe An Provincial Police must truly "be worthy of being a heroic unit in the heroic Soviet homeland, the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh" and must be "an exemplary, pioneering, and representative unit" of the People's Police force in studying and implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings.

General To Lam - Minister of Public Security suggested that studying and implementing Uncle Ho's Six Teachings must be done through practical movements and action programs associated with the political tasks of each unit, effectively implementing them into all aspects of Public Security work.

In addition, continue to thoroughly implement and strictly comply with the absolute and comprehensive leadership and direction in all aspects of the Party and State, directly the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee and the supervision of the People of Nghe An province; determined to build the Nghe An Provincial Public Security "truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation".

On the other hand, continue to research, innovate and be flexible in implementing State management solutions on security and order associated with building the Movement of the whole people to protect the security of the Fatherland and administrative reform. Determined to build the reputation and brand of Nghe An Provincial Police as a leading and pioneering unit in ensuring security and order in the area, effectively serving the construction and socio-economic development of the locality, worthy of the tradition of the Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces.

Presenting at the Commemoration Ceremony, Major General Vo Trong Thanh - former Director of the Provincial Police and Major Nguyen Dinh Khanh - Head of the Provincial Police Youth Union, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police through the periods and representing the young generation of Nghe An Provincial Police, reviewed the glorious tradition through 79 years of construction, fighting and growing up; at the same time, promised to always strive to study, practice and be determined to excellently complete all assigned tasks; worthily inherit the heroic revolutionary tradition of previous generations, continue to write the glorious history of the People's Police force in general and Nghe An Police in particular.
