After 2 months of launching, the contest attracted 47 authors from 6 Eastern provinces to submit 142 songs.

As a result, the jury selected 13 songs to award prizes. Of which, the song “Con Dao” by musician Khanh Van (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) won the Special Prize for writing about the topic of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and was the most popular. Musician Duy Long (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) with the song “Spring returns to the homeland” won the First Prize.
The second prize was awarded to author Tran Tam (Dong Nai province) with the song “Singing with Chinh'Cla” and musician Vu Huong (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) with the song “The Eastern Song of Pride”; the third prize was awarded to author Doan Quang Trung (Dong Nai province) with the song “The Eastern Region is Proud of War Zone D” and Huynh Kha Huyen (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) with the song “From the Eastern Region, We Are Ready”.

In addition, 5 Encouragement prizes were also awarded to the authors.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Hong, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said that the songs participating in this contest are not only simple musical works but also stories in melody, deeply reflecting the beauty of nature, people, culture and development of the Southeast region.
The songs are rich in themes and diverse in musical styles, vividly depicting the breath of the homeland, praising the spirit of labor, love between couples, and national pride.
