Supporting students with songs and cakes
Tran Khai Nguyen High School (District 5, Ho Chi Minh City) held a gratitude and maturity ceremony for more than 700 grade 12 students on June 23. After the speeches of teachers and parents, the whole school yard exploded when Ms. Vo Thi Hong Lan, the school's principal, and 16 grade 12 homeroom teachers took turns on stage to sing songs of encouragement to the students before the high school graduation exam.

The teachers' performance delighted both students and parents.
While the girls recounted beautiful memories of their school days through the song "A boundless life" by the late musician Trinh Cong Son, "On the streets you passed, the sun stood waiting. The road guided your steps to faraway lands...", the teachers used the song "My road" by singer Trong Hieu to convey, "Even though the days and months are still full of thorns. Who knows, I will still move forward. On my road...".
Finally, the performance reached its climax when 17 teachers sang together the song "Faith in Victory" by singer My Tam, with the hope that the 12th grade students would conquer themselves in the upcoming exam: "Even though it is difficult, my friend, always believe that, even though it is painful, my friend, please keep the faith. Faith in victory will bring us to the shore of joy. Faith in victory connects the hearts that love everyone...".
"I was very surprised and touched by the love that the teachers put into each song. They have given us positive energy and enthusiasm, helping us not only have more motivation to 'pass the gate' of the upcoming high school graduation exam, but also confidence in the future path ahead," said Truong Tran Mai Anh, a student of class 12A14.
Students responded to each song of the teacher.
The homeroom teacher gave his students boxes of cakes with wishes of good luck.
Not only expressing their feelings on stage, teachers of Tran Khai Nguyen High School also wrapped good luck wishes in each box of cakes to give to students before "G hour". Nguyen Huynh Gia Han, a student of class 12A16, said that she was very happy to be able to experience graduation day with many meaningful moments from teachers, family and friends. "I will definitely not forget the days studying at school and the emotions today", Han confided.
Messages for 18 year olds
In addition to the warm support activities, Principal Hong Lan also gave a touching speech to the graduating generation of Tran Khai Nguyen High School students. Accordingly, Ms. Lan recognized that the maturity of the students today is the result not only of the tireless days of the students themselves, but also of the silent sacrifices of their parents and teachers.
Many students could not contain their emotions when listening to the feelings of teachers and parents.
Students send their dreams and ambitions in notes.
Students also took advantage of the last moments together to sign shirts and exchange notes.
"On the journey of growing up every day, you have seen wrinkles on your mother's skin, gray hair on your father's head, which may have made your parents worried and your teachers sad. But consider it a profound lesson so that later on in life, you will be steadfast and confident in choosing your own path and destination. Become people who live with ambition and responsibility for yourself and your country," Ms. Lan confided.
"You will always succeed, as long as you do not give up in the face of upcoming difficulties. Try, stay calm and determined to achieve the best results to repay your teachers, parents and yourself. Everyone is waiting for good news from you. Wishing you a successful campaign!", Ms. Lan said.
Not only teachers, many parents also gave special words of encouragement to the students. Among them, the mother of female student Tran Huynh Phuong Nghi, class 12A14, said: "Look at life through rose-colored 'lens', and then life will also give you similar 'rose' in return."

At the ceremony, many students also had the opportunity to express their thoughts and wishes in spaces designed by the organizers such as the "Preserving Youth" photo booth, the "Sketch" board... The students exchanged colorful ribbons to strengthen their student relationships.
"The yellow string symbolizes friendship, the pink string is for unspoken words of love. Meanwhile, the white string is an apology and the blue string represents the most sincere thanks," explained Tran Thi Hong Tuyet, a 12A9 class student and a member of the ceremony's organizing committee. In addition, more than 700 12th grade students also played with water and colored powder to relieve exam pressure.
