(Dan Tri) - By coming from behind to defeat the Malaysian team Kuala Lumpur City FC in the match taking place tonight (January 23), Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) quickly won a ticket to the semi-finals of the Southeast Asian Club Championship (C1 Cup).

Despite playing away, CAHN started the match very well. After only 10 minutes of play, Coach Mano Polking's team took the lead with a goal from Quang Hai.

In this situation, Quang Hai received the ball from Leo Artur. Quang Hai controlled the ball neatly, before he shot dangerously past the home team's goalkeeper Azri Ghani, scoring to help CAHN lead 1-0.

Conceding a goal, the home team Kuala Lumpur City played with determination. They equalized in the 23rd minute. Foreign player Rudovic of the Malaysian team received a corner kick from his teammate, headed the ball past goalkeeper Nguyen Filip, and scored the equalizer 1-1.

Less than ten minutes later, Kuala Lumpur City scored their second goal of the match. Again with a header, this time former Malaysian international Paulo Josue beat goalkeeper Nguyen Filip from close range, raising the score to 2-1 for the home team.

In the second half, CAHN made some adjustments, which helped coach Mano Polking's team play better. In the 66th minute, Quang Hai took a corner kick, and center-back Bui Hoang Viet Anh joined the attack, heading the ball to level the score at 2-2 for the away team.

Not stopping there, CAHN scored a third goal in the first minute of extra time of the second half.

In the 90+1 minute, Dinh Bac fired a powerful shot that forced Kuala Lumpur City goalkeeper Azri Ghani to make a hard save. Le Van Do immediately rushed in to score the rebound, sealing a 3-2 victory for CAHN.

This victory puts the former V-League champions into the semi-finals with one match left. CAHN have won all four of their previous matches in the 2024-2025 ASEAN Club Championship. CAHN has 12 points, 5 points ahead of second-placed Buriram United (Thailand), while there is only one match left in the group stage of this tournament.
