Strengthening infrastructure capacity

Pursuant to Resolution 07 dated May 4, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee (term XXII) on the development orientation of the Southeast region to 2025, with a vision to 2030, Thang Binh established a working group to manage the Eastern region of the district.

Every year, the District People's Council specifies the goals and tasks of developing the Eastern region of the district into socio-economic development resolutions for effective implementation.

According to Mr. Phan Cong Vy - Secretary of Thang Binh District Party Committee, the Eastern region's traffic infrastructure has changed positively when receiving investment resources from the Central, province and district.

Many key traffic projects such as the Vo Chi Cong coastal road expansion project, Binh Dao bridge, Binh Nam 1 bridge, Binh Nam 2 bridge... are being invested in and built.

The locality has attracted many projects such as Bliss Hoi An Beach Resort & Wellness; curtain fabric factory of Hyosung Group (Korea); industrial park infrastructure investment of Capella Quang Nam Joint Stock Company (Tam Thang Industrial Park expansion)...

"Up to now, a number of projects have come into operation, creating jobs, contributing significantly to the district's budget and creating a development face for the region," Mr. Vy shared.

In the period of 2021 - 2023, Nui Thanh has actively mobilized and taken advantage of central and provincial budget sources and sources from enterprises to invest in infrastructure development together with the district budget.

Many key projects have been invested in such as Tam Giang bridge, Tam Tien bridge and access roads, Quang Trung road, DH3 and DH2 routes...

Notable projects include the Vo Chi Cong road project (section from Tam Ky to Chu Lai airport); Tam Hoa main road; Tam Hai embankment project; dredging the channel to Ky Ha port; industrial clusters, urban development...

“The tasks and solutions set out in Resolution 07 of the Provincial Party Committee have been focused on by the district, in the right direction. Infrastructure capacity continues to be strengthened.

The industrial production, construction and service sectors have been increasingly invested in in terms of scale and quality; creating more jobs for workers, increasing budget revenue, and making an important contribution to promoting the economic and labor restructuring of the district" - Secretary of the Nui Thanh District Party Committee Nguyen Tri An acknowledged.

Diversify investment resources

The Provincial Party Committee (term XXII) assessed that after 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 07, it has created consensus and support from all walks of life and the business community and achieved many important results.

The selection of strategic investors to implement key projects has had a strong impact, attracting more investors to research and propose investments.

The development orientation of 6 groups of projects by industry and field and 5 groups of projects on infrastructure are mainly implemented. Infrastructure serving tourism is upgraded, renovated and newly built.

A number of large, strategic, inter-regional transport projects have been implemented, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development of localities.

Residential areas, resettlement areas, and people's cemeteries are invested in and built to meet the needs of resettlement, compensation, and site clearance to implement construction investment projects.

Based on the assessment of the achieved results, identification of limitations and shortcomings, and analysis of advantages, opportunities and difficulties in the current context, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized 7 groups of tasks and solutions to effectively implement the development orientations of 6 key project groups by sector and field; 5 groups of projects on infrastructure mainly according to Resolution No. 07 associated with the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized the requirement to strictly manage planning, current status, construction order and land in the Southeast region; and highlighted the responsibility of leaders in this work.

Along with that, focus on research and actively propose the Central Government to issue specific policies, mechanisms and strategies for the Southeast region of the province.

Diversify investment resources for infrastructure development associated with restructuring the regional economy towards tourism services - industry - marine economy - high-tech agriculture.

Attracting resources from ODA loans and central budget; unblocking and connecting resources, researching investment types in the form of PPP...

“Based on the provincial planning, we focus on adjusting, supplementing, and building new development projects for sectors and fields; adjusting the general planning project for the construction of an open economic zone, the general planning of Tam Ky city, the general planning of the expanded Nui Thanh town (Nui Thanh urban area), the general planning of Duy Hai - Duy Nghia urban area (Duy Xuyen), the general planning of Binh Minh urban area (Thang Binh); approving zoning planning projects and urban landscape planning.

Quang Nam's consistent viewpoint is to prioritize investment resources for the development of the Southeast region to serve as a driving force for investment in the development of the Western region" - Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.
