Over the past year, Pham Ngoc Thach Street from National Highway 20 to Di Linh District Medical Center has become more beautiful with rows of fluttering flags and colorful bougainvillea on both sides of the road. This is the "Flag and Flower Street" - a clever civil work project implemented by Residential Group 4, Di Linh Town and launched on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024). The project with lighting, flags and flowers is not only a highlight contributing to ensuring urban aesthetics, changing the urban appearance of the Residential Group, but also arousing patriotism of each local resident; helping cadres, union members, youth and people better understand the meaning, sacred value and be more proud of the national flag.

In addition, in the past year, the people of TDP 4 also had more joy when the TDP Hall was completed and put into use, creating favorable conditions for people in the group to live, meet as well as organize cultural and artistic activities. In 2023, TDP 4 mobilized people to contribute more than 660 million VND, or 50% of the cost to build a spacious and spacious hall. In addition, TDP 4 also saved money on making fences and yards to ensure cleanliness, beauty and safety.

TDP 4 is home to 368 households with over 1,500 people. People of 7 ethnic groups from many regions have gathered here to live, gradually creating a great solidarity bloc to build a prosperous life with diverse occupations. According to Mr. Pham Minh Chien - Secretary of TDP 4 Party Cell, to create consensus among the people, before important local events, the Party Cell and the TDP People's Committee always hold meetings to collect people's opinions according to the principle of "People know - People discuss - People do - People inspect - People supervise - People benefit". The meetings are organized in 8 residential clusters, with flexible hours to ensure suitability with the time and work conditions of the people. "In particular, the core, pioneering and exemplary role of Party members is always emphasized by us in all activities and movements. Party members do first, mobilize their families and people to participate next, and then the people", Mr. Chien shared.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Yen - Head of TDP 4 proudly shared: "It is the consensus, solidarity and unity of the people in the group that has created the most important resources and strength for us to implement and replicate the model". Leaving his homeland in the North to fight, work and build a new life in Di Linh since the 1970s, Mr. Yen has witnessed the transformation of Di Linh district in general and the TDP where he lives over the past 50 years after liberation. He said that he is very happy and proud because life has improved every day. From the days of struggling to escape poverty, people have now risen to become rich, focusing on developing their spiritual life, building their second homeland into a livable, peaceful and prosperous countryside.

• UNITE TO BUILD MODEL RESIDENTIAL AREA

In the spacious TDP Hall, the pictures of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton are solemnly hung near the stage. Party Cell Secretary Pham Minh Chien proudly introduced that this is a gift that the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented to the cadres, party members and people of TDP 4 on the National Great Unity Day in 2024 for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". This is also a recognition of the efforts of each person here on the journey of competing in labor production, building TDP 4 into a model residential area.

Every year, the People's Committee coordinates with the Front Committee and the departments, branches and mass organizations of the residential area to register for building cultural families and cultural residential areas at the beginning of the year to review and evaluate at the end of the year to ensure the correct procedure. The results in 2023 and 2024 through evaluation show that the number of households achieving the title of cultural family is over 97%. With the motto of the State and the People working together, in recent years, Residential Area 4 has built many works such as the road to residential area No. 7, in which the People contributed 173 million VND, the State capital was 403 million VND; the road to residential area No. 8, the People contributed more than 600 million VND; the road to hamlet 1 in residential area No. 8, the People contributed to build a concrete road 3 m wide, 200 m long, worth 100 million VND...

In particular, implementing Project 04 of the Standing Committee of Di Linh District Party Committee on building Di Linh district to meet the standards of a new rural district in the period of 2022 - 2025, towards meeting the standards of an advanced new rural district, a model new rural district in the period of 2025 - 2030, TDP 4 has mobilized people to preserve the environmental landscape, collect and treat waste according to regulations; build a "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Safe" TDP. At the same time, actively participate in "Saturday to build civilized urban areas" in residential areas, mobilize people, cadres and civil servants to clean up the streets together with the motto "Clean houses, clean alleys, clean roads".

Ms. Pham Thi Sam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Di Linh town said that the implementation of the emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization" along with models suitable to the actual situation in the locality of TDP 4 has created a strong spread among the entire population, contributing to building and consolidating a strong political system right from the grassroots. From there, creating a foundation and combined strength to contribute to the town in performing well its political tasks, completing well the task of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas in the area.
