On February 19, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, visited, wished a happy New Year, and encouraged investors, construction units, and workers at two major traffic projects in Hoa Vang district.

At the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14B, Mr. Le Trung Chinh said that this is a key, dynamic project with great significance for traffic infrastructure and socio-economic development in the South of this city.

He highly appreciated the efforts of Hoa Vang district in implementing the project. “This is a road that is being renovated, upgraded and expanded on an old roadbed, so ensuring traffic safety during construction is extremely important,” Mr. Chinh emphasized.

In addition, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the People's Committee of Hoa Vang District to speed up site clearance work and contractors to take advantage of favorable weather to construct the project to ensure the set progress.

The National Highway 14B renovation and upgrade project has a total investment of more than 788 billion VND from the central budget and the city budget. The project starts at Km24+633 (Hoa Nhon commune), ends at Km32+185 (Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district), bordering Quang Nam province. The total length of the route is 7.58 km.

Construction started on November 25, 2023 and is expected to be completed on December 31, 2025. The contractor is currently implementing construction at some locations with favorable terrain.

At the Quang Da bridge project and the approach road, Mr. Chinh said that the project was implemented on the basis of an agreement between Da Nang and Quang Nam, aiming to promote socio-economic development of the two localities.

“Quang Da means connection. This is an area heavily affected by war, which used to be a ferry terminal. We also pay tribute to the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations, so we named the bridge Quang Da and chose this location as a connection point,” said the Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee.

Mr. Chinh acknowledged and commended the units and people who actively responded to the city's policy. At the same time, he requested that the project be completed on schedule so that the two localities could celebrate the 50th anniversary of liberation.

The Quang Da Bridge and approach road project has a total investment of more than 274 billion VND from the city budget. The project passes through two localities, Da Nang and Quang Nam. The cost of site clearance for the section passing through Quang Nam province is paid by the provincial budget.

The total length of the road and bridge is 1,408 m, constructed by a joint venture of Xuan Quang Construction Joint Stock Company and Binh Dinh Traffic Design Consulting Joint Stock Company.

The project started in December 2023 and is expected to be completed in May 2025.

According to data from Hoa Vang district, the project in Da Nang city has 153 clearance records, of which 92 are residential land records and 61 are agricultural land records. Up to now, 58/153 records have received money and handed over the site.

The Quang Nam side of the project is being cleared by the Dien Ban Town People's Committee. In the Quang Nam area, there are 11 clearance files and this locality has completed the site clearance work.
