Chieng Sinh (Dien Bien) aims to reduce the poverty rate to below 3%

On August 13, the first Congress of the Chieng Sinh Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term approved key goals and tasks to promote the strength of ethnic solidarity, effectively exploit local potential and strengths, and promote socio -economic development in association with maintaining national defense and security.

The political report at the Congress stated that in the 2020-2025 term, Chieng Sinh achieved many important results: the economic structure shifted positively, forming key crop areas such as macadamia and coffee; average income reached 36.4 million VND/person; the rate of schools meeting national standards reached 90.9%; the rate of solid classrooms reached 95%; universal education and illiteracy eradication were maintained and improved. Essential infrastructure such as transportation, schools, and medical stations were gradually invested in, contributing to improving people's lives.

Entering a new phase, the Party Committee of the commune has set the goal of bringing Chieng Sinh to new rural standards by 2030; the average GRDP growth rate is 21%/year, the average income reaches 58 million VND/person; the poverty rate drops below 3%; 100% of households have access to grid electricity and clean water; the rate of schools meeting national standards and educational quality inspection reaches 95%. The commune strives to expand the macadamia area to 3,700 hectares, coffee to 2,000 hectares, attract investors to build agricultural processing factories, and promote production according to the value chain.

To achieve these goals, Chieng Sinh will focus on restructuring agriculture towards sustainable commodities; improving infrastructure; promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation; synchronously developing education, health care, and culture; preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups; maintaining political security and social order and safety.
