However, on some roads in Dong Van Stone Plateau, some convex mirrors show signs of human impact, such as being hit by rocks or hard objects, causing some mirrors to be dented or scratched. Some mirrors have dirty writing or stickers on them, making it difficult for drivers to see. Drivers may even be startled when they suddenly see stains on the convex mirrors, leading to confusion about vehicles or people going in the opposite direction.

There are places where convex mirrors are placed, people also grow grass for livestock, making it difficult for passersby to observe. And there are also places where the mirrors have been installed for a long time, the mirror surface is covered with dust, the mirror is hit by rocks on the road, causing it to be dented, distorted and difficult to observe; or due to some impact factor, the mirror is misaligned, limiting the reflective effect and the ability to observe vehicles moving on the road.

Faced with the above reality, localities with roads equipped with convex mirrors need to take measures to detect and handle those who damage mirrors or write on them; actively propagate and raise awareness for people to join hands in protecting convex mirrors; and encourage people not to plant grass or trees too close, affecting visibility.
The authorities also need to maintain and clean convex mirrors; replace mirrors that have been dented, damaged, or have reduced reflectivity due to subjective or objective reasons; and adjust misaligned mirrors. This will help ensure traffic safety on the roads.
