According to the enrollment schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training , after 4 days of virtual filtering from August 17 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, the ministry will upload the enrollment results of universities and colleges to the system and return the results of processing wishes to the schools after 6 virtual filtering times.

From 5:00 p.m. on August 20 to before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, schools must announce the admission scores for the first round of 2025.

However, on August 20, the Ministry of Education and Training issued an official dispatch adjusting the virtual selection and screening plan for 2025.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, recently, with the support of training institutions and admission groups, the processing results on the Admissions Support System have ensured convergence, stability and implementation according to plan.

However, in 2025, the number of candidates registering for university and college admission will be higher, and it will also be the first year that colleges will participate in the admission process. There will be no early admission, and all admission methods will be used in the first round. Therefore, to ensure accurate, fair, and objective admission results, the Ministry of Education and Training recommends that training institutions focus on and urgently implement:

Firstly, carefully review all data, admission methods, and situations in the context of many candidate data being used for admission to ensure that no candidates are missed or incorrectly admitted during the admission process; limit the occurrence of handling errors during the admission process;

Second, carefully calculate the options and propose appropriate virtual ratios to avoid creating a large virtual number, affecting the recruitment sources of other training institutions as well as recruiting beyond the target and training capacity of the training institution.

To ensure that training institutions have time to implement the above requirements, the Ministry of Education and Training has extended the time for organizing admission exams and processing admission requests on the system.

The Ministry of Education and Training recommends that educational institutions not announce admission scores before the last virtual filtering on the system, that is, not before 12:30 p.m. on August 22.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, by the time the university admission registration portal closed in 2025, the ministry's general admission system recorded more than 849,000 candidates registering for admission with more than 7.6 million university and college admission wishes (an average of 8.96 wishes/candidate).

Compared to the number of more than 1.16 million students taking the high school graduation exam in 2025, there were about 310,000 students who did not register their university and college admission wishes on the ministry's system (equivalent to 26.7% of candidates missing the opportunity to enter university and college in the first round).
