Bui Tien Dung has only played 3 times for the Hanoi Police Club this season. The presence and role of the player born in 1997 gradually faded through each round. He started the first 3 matches of the season and was then pushed to the bench.

Up to now, Bui Tien Dung's career peak stopped at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup finals when he was a major contributor to bringing the U23 Vietnam team to the finals. However, even at the youth team level, this goalkeeper soon lost his image. During the 30th SEA Games campaign when U22 Vietnam won the gold medal, this goalkeeper made a mistake and lost his position to his junior Nguyen Van Toan. Then, at the 2020 U23 Asian Cup finals, Bui Tien Dung once again made an elementary mistake that led to the home team's elimination.

In the club's jersey, Bui Tien Dung was given the opportunity to play 13 times for Thanh Hoa in the 2018 V-League. However, the performance of the "Thuong Chau hero" was not highly appreciated.
