Ministry of Defense inspects sea parade practice

On August 7-8, in Khanh Hoa, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, inspected and directed the practice of mobilizing the force's formation for the sea parade in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

According to the Navy, in recent times, despite unfavorable weather conditions, the forces participating in the sea parade have overcome difficulties in organizing training and movement in formations and regularly drawing on experience to thoroughly overcome existing problems.

Units and ships have built and organized through seagoing plans and training plans and implemented them seriously, closely and meticulously; ensured good weapons and equipment, ships and aircraft operating in complex weather conditions; organized tight and flexible command; ensured time to maneuver and take over the formation.

At the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia commended the units for seriously and closely implementing the plan to practice the armed forces' parade at sea, and at the same time requested the Navy to continue organizing the formations at sea, ensuring uniformity, beauty, and absolute safety.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia requested that the forces grasp the weather situation, organize the information system; closely coordinate between ships, comply with command orders, and ensure good distance, speed, and position as specified in the formation.
