This morning, on Uncle Ho's birthday, May 19, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference to disseminate "Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on public ethics to enhance the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members in the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs".
Attending the Conference were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, Professor Dr. Manh Quang Thang, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, representatives of the Party Committee of Central Agencies, representatives of Party Committees at all levels, and a large number of cadres and Party members of units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said that the Conference on Ho Chi Minh's Thought on Public Ethics today took place in a series of activities of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. Previously, on May 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a delegation to visit Uncle Ho's mausoleum, followed by a discussion on "Applying Ho Chi Minh's Diplomatic Thought in implementing the Foreign Policy of the 13th National Party Congress" chaired by Minister Bui Thanh Son and attended by leaders, former leaders of the Ministry, representatives of Party committees and youth unions of the Ministry.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always proud to have beloved President Ho Chi Minh as its first Minister. He founded, trained and guided the Vietnamese Diplomatic Service, and following his footsteps, we have achieved what we have today. He is an outstanding diplomat, a role model for diplomatic staff in all eras. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh pointed out that setting an example plays a great role and is a standard value in the ethics of cadres and party members. He once said, "A living example is worth more than a hundred propaganda speeches."
Fully aware of the importance of the pioneering, exemplary role and public ethics of each cadre and party member in implementing political tasks, Party building and industry building, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs always attaches importance to political and ideological work, upholds discipline, administrative discipline, professional ethics and public ethics according to Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style, in accordance with practical conditions and task requirements.
In the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology on public ethics, officials and Party members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at home and abroad have made efforts to cultivate and train their ethics, political qualities, sense of responsibility, sense of organization and discipline, and apply and practice basic ethical principles and standards such as diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and selflessness; have a high sense of responsibility and discipline, and are proactive, proactive, and creative in foreign affairs work...

Entering a new development stage, as directed by Minister Bui Thanh Son from the beginning of 2023, the Foreign Affairs sector has synchronously deployed foreign affairs tasks and the task of building and developing the diplomatic sector. Cadres and Party members in the Party Committee need to innovate their thinking and action, shifting strongly to a service mindset. Each cadre and Party member needs to identify their duty and responsibility to serve the Fatherland and the People to wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly fulfill their assigned tasks. First is to serve the Party and the State, then to accompany and support ministries, branches, localities, businesses and people in the field of foreign affairs and international integration. So that all foreign affairs and diplomatic activities, from political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, territorial borders to foreign communications, work with overseas Vietnamese, and citizen protection, are all aimed at serving the development of the country and serving the people.
After the speech of Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, for nearly 2 hours, the Conference was told by Professor, Dr. Manh Quang Thang about the very special and unique revolutionary life of the great man Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding cultural figure not only of the Vietnamese people but also of all humanity. Dr. Manh Quang Thang emphasized that the generations of diplomatic officials today, especially the young generation, need to practically learn the dedicated working style, service and simple lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh, an outstanding diplomat, the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
