On April 20, answering VTC News, Ms. Tran Thi No (45 years old, from Long An, temporarily residing in Quan Nam 4 village, Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang, Da Nang city) said that her family had sent a petition to the People's Committee of Hoa Son commune, Hoa Son commune police, and the Board of Directors of Tran Quang Khai Secondary School (Hoa Son commune, Hoa Vang district) requesting an investigation and handling of the case of her daughter being beaten by a group of people, causing serious injuries.

According to Mrs. No, at 7:00 p.m. on April 11, her daughter - Nguyen Thi Nhu T. (12 years old, 6th grade student at Tran Quang Khai Secondary School) - was at home when Ph.Th. (7th grade student at the same school) came and invited her to go out.

When they reached Phu Thuong Church, Ph.Th., Ph.T. (a 7th grader who had been expelled from school) and MH (a 8/2 grader) brutally beat T. The incident was recorded by a 7th grader named Ph. using his phone.

After that, Nguyen Thi Nhu T. went home but did not tell her family because she was threatened that if she did, she would be beaten again.

On the morning of April 18, seeing her child coughing up blood, having a stomachache, nausea, delirium, and a swollen head, Mrs. Tran Thi No took her child to Da Nang Hospital for examination. The child was admitted to the Neurosurgery Department for observation.

On the afternoon of April 19, T. was discharged from the hospital to continue monitoring at home with a diagnosis of "concussion".

In the 1 minute and 11 second clip that Ms. No provided to VTC News, Nguyen Thi Nhu T. was dragged along the street by a female friend who grabbed her hair. This friend repeatedly kicked her in the stomach, neck, and shoulders, kneed her, hit her, and slapped her many times.

Being beaten up, T. could only endure the beating, not daring to fight back. Then another female student joined in the assault, trying to take off T.'s shirt but failed.

After that, the group of female students left the scene, leaving the victim sitting in the middle of the road in the dark.

According to Ms. No, her daughter was bullied and beaten many times by 7th and 8th graders at Tran Quang Khai Secondary School, sometimes in Dai La village, sometimes behind the gate of Tran Quang Khai Secondary School. However, because she had no evidence, she did not file a complaint.

“ I reported the incident and asked the authorities to investigate and strictly punish those who beat my child so that he can continue to go to school. Today, I took my child to school but did not dare to go home to work. I had to wait to pick him up because I was afraid he would be beaten again. I also reported the incident to the homeroom teacher and the school to ask for measures to protect my child, ” said Ms. No.

The leader of Hoa Son Commune Police said that on April 17, the unit summoned the students involved to the headquarters for questioning. The two female students who beat T. are sisters, their parents are divorced, and they currently live with their grandmother. These are two isolated cases, with repeated violations.

“ As soon as we received the information, the commune police took action to verify and summon those involved to work and handle the case. However, according to current legal regulations, the handling will only stop at the level of deterrence, education and handover to the family and local organizations for management, ” said the leader of Hoa Son Commune Police.
