Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; comrade Tran Dinh Van - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province; comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of departments and branches of the province; and all delegates of the 10th Provincial People's Council.

According to the authority prescribed in the Law on Organization of Local Government, at this session, the Provincial People's Council will discuss and conduct procedures according to the process to elect additional leadership positions of the province and dismiss a number of leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council will elect the positions of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee; at the same time, carry out the procedure to dismiss the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee in accordance with the order and provisions of law.

After chairing the Session and conducting the procedures in order, the delegates of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, voted to elect comrade Pham Thi Phuc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

In her acceptance speech, Comrade Pham Thi Phuc expressed her sincere thanks to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council delegates for their trust in electing her as the Chairman of the 10th Provincial People's Council. This is both an honor and a great task and responsibility. At the same time, the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also expressed her determination to promote her role and responsibility together with the Provincial People's Council delegates to successfully complete the tasks assigned by voters and the People, step by step leading Lam Dong to overcome difficulties and challenges and develop comprehensively and sustainably.

At this session, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council also conducted procedures and elected to fill the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for comrade Da Cat Vinh - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association and elected Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee for comrade Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Loc City; at the same time, dismissed the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for Mr. Nguyen Khac Binh and Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee for Ms. Duong Thi Nga in accordance with the provisions of law.

After receiving the assignment, comrade Pham Thi Phuc - the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Council carried out procedures according to her authority to introduce comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee to be elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee was elected by the Provincial People's Council delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with a high percentage of votes.

Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc - Acting Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate Comrade Pham Thi Phuc - New Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Comrade Tran Hong Thai - New Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee who were elected by the delegates of the 10th Provincial People's Council. At the same time, the Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also delivered a speech assigning tasks to the comrades in their new positions.

The new Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Tran Hong Thai, spoke, expressing his sincere feelings and sending his deep thanks to the Central Party Secretariat and the Central Organizing Committee for their trust in assigning and appointing him to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, he also thanked the Party Committee, government, army and people of more than 40 ethnic groups in Lam Dong province for receiving and creating conditions for him to work and contribute to Lam Dong province.

Comrade Tran Hong Thai - New Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee expressed: I am deeply aware that this is an honor for me personally; at the same time, it is also a heavy task and responsibility assigned by the Party and trusted by the province.

With the assigned responsibility, I will learn, try my best, be dedicated, quickly approach new tasks, and inherit the achievements in Lam Dong's socio-economic development in recent years.

Based on the achievements of the province, I pledge to use all my ability, intelligence, enthusiasm and working experience, join hands with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to build the province, for the development of the province, for the prosperity and happiness of the people of Lam Dong, worthy of being the leading province in the Central Highlands.

To complete the assigned tasks, I look forward to receiving the help, attention, leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Party Committee, the Central Organizing Committee, the Government, the Central Ministries and Branches, the other provinces and especially the coordination, leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee; the consensus and joint efforts of the business community and people in the province; the help and experience sharing of the elders.

I firmly believe that, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the head, Comrade Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, with the development goal: "Maximizing potential, creating many different values" and the motto of action: "Proactive, creative, decisive and effective", together with the solidarity and consensus of the entire political system, the companionship of the business community and the consensus and support of the people, our province will certainly develop quickly, sustainably and achieve greater results.
