Arrested 2 wanted fugitives who came to Da Nang City to celebrate Tet

On the evening of February 8, the Da Nang International Airport Police Station handed over to the Hai Chau District Police (Da Nang City) wanted fugitive Le Duc Huy (19 years old, residing in Quarter 5, Trung Dung Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai).

Previously, Le Duc Huy was prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency of Bien Hoa City Police for intentionally causing injury. However, Huy fled his residence, and on December 12, 2023, the Investigation Police Agency of Bien Hoa City Police issued a wanted notice for Huy.

After committing the crime, Huy hid in many places, constantly changing his residence to avoid being pursued by the authorities.

Through the coordination of crime prevention and control, the Da Nang International Airport Police Station coordinated with the Da Nang International Airport Border Police to discover that Huy was on the flight to Da Nang City on the afternoon of February 7.

The joint force arranged and arrested Le Duc Huy as soon as he got off the plane.

At the same time, Da Nang International Airport Police Station arrested suspect Mai Tien Phuc (23 years old, residing in Gia Ui hamlet, Xuan Tam commune, Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai ).

Defendant Mai Tien Phuc entered Vietnam from Malaysia through Da Nang International Airport and was arrested as soon as he got off the plane.

The reason is that Phuc was previously prosecuted and wanted by the Investigation Police Agency of Xuan Loc District Police for disturbing public order.

Both defendants confessed that after hiding in many places, they chose to come to Da Nang City to celebrate Tet with friends and were arrested.

According to Hai Chau District Police, the unit is currently detaining Le Duc Huy and Mai Tien Phuc, and at the same time notifying Bien Hoa City Police to coordinate and extradite Huy and Phuc to Bien Hoa City for further handling according to legal regulations.
