At the ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History was honored to receive the decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to re-rank it as a Type I museum along with the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum. At the same time, the War Remnants Museum was ranked as a Type I museum.

In addition, the Organizing Committee announced the Decisions of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on ranking historical-cultural relics and city-level scenic spots for 3 works: Architectural and artistic relic of Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital, architectural and artistic relic of Ho Chi Minh City Children's House and Historical relic of Go Mon district base (1961-1969) in An Binh hamlet, Trung An commune, Cu Chi district.
In addition, the Cultural Heritage Association of the Historical Museum received the Encouragement Prize in the Contest "Promoting the value of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage" organized by the City Cultural Heritage Association.
The city currently has 17 museums, including 11 public museums (4 museums ranked I, 3 museums ranked II, 16 national treasures preserved in the museums) and 6 privately owned museums. The museums and historical and cultural relics attract a large number of visitors, becoming favorite destinations for domestic and foreign tourists when coming to the city./.
