On August 15-16, BlackPink's Deadline tour stopped at Wembley Stadium in London, England. BBC recorded that the two shows attracted about 148,000 spectators.
The concert became a highlight event in the foggy country. Many major newspapers gave positive reviews to the 4 girls from YG Entertainment.
BBC called BlackPink the greatest girl group in the world , making history by becoming the first Kpop girl group to headline Wembley.
The Guardian commented that although each individual was not outstanding enough, the resonance of the group made them shine in energetic performances.

Meanwhile, The Standard commented that this was a dynamic, sophisticated and joyful performance. Each individual had their own space to shine and was even stronger when standing together.
United By Pop describes songs like Stay , Lovesick Girls , and Jump as having the effect of deeply connecting BlackPink with the audience.
Amidst the praise, The Times published a scathing article. In addition to giving the concert 3/5 stars, the daily said that the performances were not really explosive, with only Lisa standing out from the start, while the other members appeared to lack energy.
“Despite the enthusiastic fans, it took a while for the group to really get going, because out of Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa, only Lisa – the Thai-born girl – looked like she really wanted to be there from the start. She winked at the camera and did every move with vigor… The other three members were a bit lackluster in the first half of the show, especially Jennie,” wrote author Blanca Schofield.
Despite being praised for her attitude, Lisa was criticized for choosing the “boring song” Thunder for her solo, instead of a hit like New Woman . On the contrary, Jennie, although initially lacking enthusiasm, later made a mark with Like Jennie . Rosé was also praised for her good solo performance. Jisoo, on the other hand, seemed to not leave much of an impression on Blanca Schofield.
“Rosé, who grew up in New Zealand, took on the role of spokesperson, thanking the crowd and engaging in witty banter with her teammates. Her vocals were the best. She delivered a mix of Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo on Toxic Till The End before launching into the hit APT. , a collaboration with Bruno Mars. If I didn’t mention Jisoo much, it’s because she was the most forgettable, although Earthquake was quite enjoyable,” the review reads.
The Times article was then shared on online forums. BlackPink fans were clearly unhappy with the negative comments about the group, condemning the author of the article for being too harsh and rude.
Netizens commented: “I find this article rude and disrespectful. They are clearly talented, otherwise they wouldn’t have performed at Wembley. Maybe they weren’t at their best that night. Just enjoy the music , no need to judge the whole show and each individual”, “The article is too harsh. People have criticized them enough, professional reporters don’t need to be so harsh”, “Poor Jisoo! Is she really the most forgettable? Too cruel”, “This is fake news, not a real article”, “This article feels like it was written by a 9-year-old”…
Besides, many audiences agreed with the author's opinion. They thought that the journalist was only reflecting what they felt from the concert, while Blinks did not have an objective assessment because they had a lot of affection for the band.
