The North is about to welcome cold air causing thunderstorms

Việt NamViệt Nam14/10/2024

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, around the night of October 18 and the morning of October 19, a cold air mass will flow down, causing rain and reducing the temperature in the North.

The North is about to welcome cold air causing thunderstorms

These are still the first cold spells of the season, so they are not enough to cause cold all day and night in the North. The weather is only chilly at night and early morning, with the lowest temperature of 21-24 degrees Celsius. In the mountainous areas, the weather is cold, with some places being below 20 degrees Celsius.

The cold air will also cause scattered thunderstorms in the North on the night of October 18 and the morning of October 19, with some areas experiencing heavy rain in mountainous areas. The rain and northeasterly winds of the cold air will end the foggy pollution in the North, but note that when the cold air descends, it will cause strong disturbances in the air, often accompanied by dangerous tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

The cold air moving down to the Central region combined with the windward terrain of the Truong Son mountain range will also cause rain in the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue from October 19-20, with some heavy rain. Beware of the risk of accompanying tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
