Ba Ria-Vung Tau ranked 7th in PAPI Index

On April 15, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Vietnam held a conference to announce the results of the 2024 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI).

Accordingly, the 2024 PAPI Index of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province ranked 7th out of 63 provinces and cities, up 2 places compared to 2023. With this achievement, the province is ranked in group 1 - the group with the highest score.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has 6/8 content indexes that have increased scores and improved compared to 2023. These are the contents that are highly appreciated by the people: accountability to the people; control of corruption in the public sector; public administrative procedures; public service provision, environmental management; e-governance.

The 2024 PAPI Index Report synthesizes the opinions of 18,894 people from 61 provinces and cities across the country; analyzes the feelings, experiences, opinions and expectations of survey participants on the performance of local governments in implementing State policies and laws, local governance and providing public services at all levels of government in 2024.
