At the workshop, ASEAN members presented experiences and good practices in media transformation; policies to establish a framework, integrate new digital technologies into production and management processes, education programs; copyright infringement issues; information aimed at the public, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam, acknowledged that the digital transformation of journalism in ASEAN countries needs to prioritize regular sharing of practical experiences, cooperation with relevant parties to implement policies, train the workforce and mobilize resources to digitize journalism and media. Therefore, ASEAN can consider building a common index to measure the level of development of digital transformation of journalism with a corresponding measurement tool. This will be the criterion to assess the level of development of ASEAN countries in digital transformation of journalism.

On the afternoon of September 21, in Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh Province), the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province and the Vietnam Association for Information Technology opened the 24th Vietnam Information and Communications Technology Development Cooperation Conference, with the theme: Digital data and decision support platforms.
