Tropical depression absorbs moisture, triggers widespread heat in the North and Central regions

On August 8, the low pressure area in the North East Sea strengthened into a tropical depression. By the afternoon of the same day, the center of the tropical depression was at about 18.9 degrees North latitude - 118 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern sea of the East Sea, about 600km northeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago. It is forecasted that on August 9, the tropical depression will move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 10km/hour. By the afternoon of the same day, the center of the depression will be about 480km northeast of Hoang Sa, maintaining a level 6 intensity, gusting to level 8. It is expected that by the afternoon of August 10, the tropical depression will weaken into a low pressure area and will not directly affect the mainland of our country.

According to meteorological experts, the tropical low pressure circulation attracts moist clouds, causing heat in the North and Central regions, and at the same time activating the southwest monsoon to strengthen in the South.
