Among the 47 research results presented, Professor Ngo Viet Trung, former director of the Vietnam Institute of Mathematics, is the Vietnamese whose research was selected to report at the conference.
Presentation by Professor Ngo Viet Trung on Theory of local cohomology. Theory of local cohomology was developed to solve geometric problems and facilitate the birth of commutative and combinatorial algebra in the 1970s. This theory was introduced by Alexander Grothendieck at Harvard University in the 1960s.
According to the report of Professor, Doctor of Science Ngo Viet Trung, today the Theory of local cohomology has become one of the important tools in solving problems of commutative algebra and algebraic geometry.
On July 15 and 16, scientists will present 47 research results at the conference. The conference has 65 scientists participating, including 18 from abroad.
The conference is a place for researchers to present teaching ideas, update the latest trends in mathematical research. At the same time, discuss the direction of applying mathematics to the economy and society in the future.
This is also a place for math lovers to meet and learn from scientists.
