The Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to four officers of the Ministry of Public Security and two officers in Dak Lak province who died on June 11 in Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district.
According to the Prime Minister's decision dated June 12, the martyrs who were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Fatherland include: Major Hoang Trung and Captain Nguyen Dang Nhan, Ea Ktur commune police; Major Tran Quoc Thang and Captain Ha Tuan Anh, Ea Tieu commune police; Party Secretary, Chairman of Ea Ktur commune People's Council Nguyen Van Kien; Chairman of Ea Tieu commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung.

Earlier, in the early morning of June 11, a group of people on motorbikes used guns and dangerous weapons to attack and destroy the People's Committee headquarters and the offices of the Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur Commune Police, Cu Kuin District. The consequences resulted in the deaths of 4 police officers, 2 commune officials and 3 civilians, and 2 police officers being seriously injured.
By noon on June 12, 27 suspects related to the attack had been arrested; a number of military weapons, including CKC rifles, had been confiscated.
Lieutenant General To An Xo, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security, said that authorities are actively pursuing the remaining members of the attack group.
On the evening of June 12, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee sent a letter calling on all local people to remain calm and not panic after a shooting attack occurred at two commune party committee headquarters in the area.
Provincial leaders condemned the attack on government offices and the killings, and shared the great loss of the families of the police officers, officials and people. People and soldiers need to unite and trust in the Party's policies and the management of the government at all levels.
In addition, everyone needs to join hands to help and share the loss and pain with the families of police officers, officers and victims; work and produce with peace of mind, contributing to the stability and development of the locality. People should raise their vigilance, absolutely "not listen to, not believe, not follow" reactionary groups, inciting opposition to the government, causing political insecurity in the area.
"Do not post or share unverified information on social networks, which will affect the performance of duties by authorities and cause confusion and anxiety among the people," the appeal letter stated.
This morning, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited and shared the loss of the families of the victims after the two People's Committee headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes were attacked.
