131 secondary school teachers attend the competition for excellent homeroom teachers

Today, February 11, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province organized the opening ceremony of the provincial competition for excellent homeroom teachers of secondary schools for the 2024-2025 school year.

The contest was attended by 131 homeroom teachers from 96 units, representing thousands of secondary school teachers across the province.

The exam content has 2 parts: Part presenting measures to contribute to improving the quality of homeroom teacher work and part practicing teaching.

The Excellent Homeroom Teacher Competition at all levels is a periodic activity held every four years, but this year's competition is the first year that the 2018 General Education Program is applied to all levels of education.

There are many new contents and activities that teachers have not experienced or organized in their homeroom classes to develop students' qualities and abilities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong emphasized: “The contest must ensure objectivity, honesty, fairness, and educational effects, encouraging teachers to learn, exchange, communicate, and disseminate experiences in class management and educating students in ethics, qualities, and abilities.

Therefore, we believe that the jury members, managers and experienced teachers with professional reputation will evaluate the contestants' products fairly, objectively, accurately and truthfully, helping the contest's steering committee to correctly assess the capacity of each teacher as well as the quality of the contest."
