A series of key projects are being urgently implemented by the province, promising to bring a new look, arousing strong development potential in the coming time.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the province has focused resources on implementing 26 key projects with an impressive total investment of up to VND 13,486,074 billion.

The transportation sector dominates with 17 projects, with a total investment of VND9,946,074 billion. In addition, other important sectors such as construction, agriculture and rural development, culture, sports, and information technology are also given special attention by the province. The total state budget capital planned for key projects is VND8,912,419 billion, equivalent to 37.57% of the total capital plan. Up to now, the province has disbursed VND1,482,346 billion out of a total of VND1,725,072 billion, reaching a rate of 85.9%.

Notably, 9 out of 21 projects that have started construction have been completed and handed over, officially put into use, contributing to improving the quality of life and creating favorable conditions for economic activities. The remaining 12 projects are being actively implemented, of which 9 are expected to be completed in 2025. However, the implementation of key projects is not without challenges. The prolonged investment preparation due to complicated procedures and the need to adjust the investment policy many times has affected the overall progress. In addition, site clearance has also encountered many difficulties related to compensation, resettlement and determining the origin of land. Difficult terrain and unfavorable weather conditions have also significantly affected the construction progress.

To address these difficulties, Yen Bai province has been implementing many drastic solutions synchronously. For projects that have not yet started construction, the province has directed departments, branches and sectors to speed up legal procedures to start construction soon, striving to complete in 2025. For projects that are being implemented, the province has strengthened supervision and urged construction units to speed up progress, while proactively resolving problems related to site clearance and other arising issues.

In particular, Yen Bai is moving towards an important milestone when it is expected to inaugurate and start construction of a number of key projects to celebrate the Provincial Party Congress. Specifically, 4 projects are expected to be inaugurated, including: Road connecting National Highway 37, National Highway 32C with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway; IC13 intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway; Provincial Party Committee Headquarters and Party Committees; Provincial Conference Center. The Yen Bai Provincial Radio and Television Headquarters Project is expected to be started on this occasion.

With continuous efforts and synchronous solutions, Yen Bai is gradually perfecting its infrastructure system, creating a solid foundation for sustainable socio-economic development in the future. The completion of key projects not only contributes to changing the face of the province but also promises to create new growth drivers, improving the quality of life for Yen Bai people.
