Reporting to the Prime Minister, Director of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital Duong Duc Hung said that the hospital has arranged enough human resources, machinery, equipment, and medical supplies to care for and treat 450 patients during Tet. Recalling President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "A doctor is like a loving mother", the Prime Minister requested that hospital staff, doctors, and medical staff take care of patients as if they were their own relatives; feel the pain of patients as if it were their own pain; as long as the hospital still has patients, doctors and medical staff cannot rest.
Highlighting the country's outstanding achievements in 2023, the Prime Minister emphasized the important contributions of the health sector, especially in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, to create conditions for the whole country to restore and develop the socio-economy, including the contribution of Viet Duc Hospital.
The Prime Minister requested that during these Tet holidays, Viet Duc Hospital must prioritize receiving and actively treating patients; be on duty and admit patients with the highest responsibility, receive them as quickly and promptly as possible.
At the Emergency Clinic of Viet Duc Hospital, the Prime Minister visited, encouraged, and presented Tet gifts to patients receiving emergency treatment there. He asked doctors and nurses to make every effort to take advantage of the golden hour, prioritizing saving lives first, and completing paperwork and procedures later.

At the National Children's Hospital, the Prime Minister sympathized with patients, their families and doctors who had to stay in the hospital and could not go home to celebrate Tet.
The Prime Minister hopes that the hospital's medical staff will continue to improve their professional qualifications and medical ethics, demonstrating the spirit of "a doctor is like a kind mother".
"This is both an obligation, responsibility, love, and sharing with the children's families, contributing to improving the physical strength of Vietnamese people," the Prime Minister pointed out and emphasized that if each person is healthy, the whole nation will be healthy; children are the future of the country, if the children are healthy, our nation will be healthy and develop strongly.
The Prime Minister requested the hospital to do a good job of disease prevention, ensure environmental hygiene and food safety, and quickly complete the investment in building a second facility in Quoc Oai District, Hanoi.
