As one of the typical units in planting, linking and processing coffee in Son La , In 2023, Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company cooperated with localities to successfully build high-tech coffee growing areas in the communes of Chieng Mai and Muong Chanh (belonging to Chieng Ban, Chieng Dong and Chieng Chung communes, old Mai Son district), linking 876 households on an area of over 670 hectares. This is one of two high-tech coffee areas in the province.

Mr. Vu Viet Thang, Director of the Company, said: To implement the planning of the province's high-tech coffee growing area, Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company has actively supported people to build sustainable raw material areas by opening training courses, sending technical staff to provide direct guidance, helping people apply science and technology to produce coffee that meets export standards. In addition to the high-tech coffee growing area, the Company has now expanded its cooperation with 1,600 farming households, cultivating over 2,000 hectares, harvesting 15,000 - 18,000 tons of fresh coffee each year, equivalent to 4,000 tons of exported coffee beans.

Technical staff of Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company exchanged techniques on coffee care and cultivation for export.

Like many households in the village, Mr. Lo Van Cuon's family in Na Khoang village, Muong Chanh commune has joined forces with Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company through models of supplying fertilizers, using pesticides, consulting on disease management and plant nutrition. Mr. Cuon said: His family has 1.8 hectares of coffee linked to Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company in high-tech growing areas. The family complies with the export coffee production process, using biological and organic fertilizers and pesticides. All fresh coffee is sold to the Company at a higher price than the market, helping them feel secure in production and not worry about output.

Prioritize development goals

Son La province aims to become a center for high-tech agricultural development in the Northwest region, aiming for green growth and sustainable development. To achieve this goal, the Provincial Party Committee has issued Resolution No. 08-NQ/TU, identifying key tasks until 2025 and orientations to 2030. Currently, the province has been focusing on building a national center for research and application of high technology in agriculture in Moc Chau, and at the same time forming 1 zone and 20 high-tech agricultural zones across the province. The goal is to expand the area of crops applying international standards such as VietGAP and GlobalGAP to 13,179 hectares. Moc Chau has exploited its superior advantages in natural conditions, climate and focused resources to invest in infrastructure of high-tech application zones, including greenhouse systems, smart membrane houses, modern laboratories and automatic irrigation systems. With many outstanding high-tech application models such as: Moc Chau Dairy Cow Breeding Joint Stock Company applies automatic milking technology and nutrition management with specialized software, helping to increase milk yield and quality to international standards. Cooperatives invest in greenhouse systems to grow strawberries and cherry tomatoes, ensuring clean and safe products. In the processing sector, tea factories have applied advanced roasting and drying technology to create high-quality products with distinctive flavors, meeting the increasing demands of the market.

Currently, the province maintains many effective high-tech agricultural models, such as: plum, early ripening longan, safe vegetables, custard apple, etc., along with the production of tea, coffee, fruit trees according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, organic, bringing in income from hundreds of millions to billions of VND/ha/year. Many cooperatives and households apply modern techniques such as pruning, fruit bagging, greenhouses, greenhouses, and water-saving irrigation, creating high-quality products to meet the market demand.
