Commune authorized to license karaoke and dance halls

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has just issued Decision No. 2031/QD-UBND on authorizing the People's Committees at the commune level to issue, adjust and revoke licenses for eligibility to operate karaoke and discotheque services.

According to the decision, the People's Committee at the commune level has the right to receive, manage records, issue new, adjust or revoke karaoke and discotheque business licenses in the area. The authorization period is 5 years, calculated from the effective date of the decision.

The People's Committee at the commune level is responsible for organizing the implementation in accordance with legal regulations, is responsible to the Provincial People's Committee and coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related departments and branches in the implementation process.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to guide, inspect, monitor and periodically report to the Provincial People's Committee on implementation results; at the same time, advise and propose adjustments to the authorization to suit reality and legal regulations.

The Decision also clearly states the responsibilities of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards, Commune-level Public Administration Service Centers and related organizations and individuals in implementation.
