This is the information exchanged at the working session between the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) and the Vietnam Navy on the morning of June 15, 2024. Attending the working session were Major General Hoang Hong Ha - Rear Admiral, Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Navy, and representatives of the Navy. On the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Committee Secretary, Rector of the school; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the School Council, Head of Training Department and leaders of functional departments. VNU-USSH offers 100 full scholarships to naval soldiers

Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Secretary, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU expressed the school's gratitude when awarding scholarships to the Vietnam People's Army Navy.

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan expressed that with 80 years of tradition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is a leading unit in research and training in the field of social sciences and humanities. The structure of the school's training programs is complete with 92 majors at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan shared the policy of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU to fulfill national responsibilities, awarding scholarships to Navy soldiers who have completed their national missions well, so that when they return, they can study and improve their knowledge to serve the cause of protecting the country. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will award 100 full scholarships to naval soldiers who have successfully completed their military service and passed the entrance exams to study majors (both full-time and part-time) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities from 2024. In addition, when becoming students of VNU-USSH, they will have the opportunity to enjoy many support policies for students of the school, such as scholarships to encourage learning, scholarships to attract talents for students of 09 basic majors, scholarships outside the budget from organizations and businesses, etc. VNU-USSH offers 100 full scholarships to naval soldiers

Touched by the sentiments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, Major General Hoang Hong Ha said that the scholarship source of the school will be a great motivation for naval soldiers to continue to fulfill their duty of protecting the country, expanding opportunities to develop capacity, ethics and career opportunities after completing their duties, demonstrating the policy of care and treatment of the Party, the State in general and the National University, Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular for the naval force. Major General Hoang Hong Ha emphasized that this is the first scholarship program implemented at VNU-USSH as well as the Navy, opening up for further cooperation activities between the two units. It is expected that the two sides will soon sign a memorandum of cooperation to realize the above policy.
