Leaders of Phu Loc Commune People's Committee mobilized people to donate land to expand rural roads.

After receiving the resolution and policies on model new rural construction, Nguyen Bien Cuong, Secretary of the Party Cell of Xuan Yen village, Phu Loc commune, together with the Party cell and the Front working committee, "went to every alley and knocked on every door" to persuade households to participate in new rural construction. In addition, the village's new rural development committee assigned specific responsibilities and tasks to its members for implementation and dissemination. Thanks to that, in 2023, the village was recognized as meeting the model new rural standards.

Secretary Nguyen Bien Cuong said: "We always identify propaganda work to make people understand that they are the subjects in the New Rural Development Program. At the same time, we identify key projects and tasks that bring benefits to people to focus on implementation. The mobilization and use of resources must ensure democracy, people are allowed to participate in discussions, decisions and have supervision from the community. With the trust and support of the people, the transportation system, irrigation, and cultural works of the village are solidly built to facilitate economic development, meet the needs of daily life and organize cultural and artistic activities of the people".

Identifying the key task of building Phu Loc commune to meet the model new-style rural standards, immediately after receiving the directive document from the district, the Party Committee of the commune proactively implemented the model new-style rural construction program according to specific steps and procedures, such as: Party Committee meeting to issue a thematic resolution on building a model new-style rural commune, perfecting the Steering Committee of the National Target Program on Model New-style Rural Construction; perfecting sub-committees in villages, assigning members of the Steering Committee to be in charge and guiding villages to organize implementation. Based on the actual conditions of the locality, develop specific plans for each month, quarter, year and deploy them to villages. At the same time, deploy tasks to organizations and people; assign members in charge, establish working groups to closely follow residential areas, urge and guide implementation; organize periodic and ad hoc meetings in many forms in residential areas, on each task content.

During the process of building a model new rural area, the commune mobilized more than 850 million VND, of which people contributed nearly 479 million VND to build infrastructure, renovate and build cultural works... Up to now, the commune has completed the criteria in building a model new rural area and is waiting for the competent authority to decide on recognition.

Vice Chairman of Phu Loc Commune People's Committee Le Hai Van said: "The 4-year journey of maintaining advanced NTM and building a model NTM commune has brought about many positive results; truly changing the socio-economic situation in the locality. Welfare works have been newly invested and upgraded synchronously to meet the production and living requirements of the people; the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved, political security and social order and safety have been maintained."

Up to now, the rural appearance in Hau Loc has improved a lot, becoming more and more spacious and clean; infrastructure of transportation, irrigation, culture, health, education... has been invested and upgraded. The district has 100% of communes meeting the new rural standards, 4 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, 1 commune meeting the model new rural standards; Hau Loc town has completed the civilized urban area, the district has met the new rural standards.
