From early morning on August 20, helicopters of Helicopter Regiments 916, 917 and 930 were deployed in formation to prepare for the flag-raising training flight. This is the latest activity of the helicopter regiments of the Air Defense - Air Force, in preparation for the preliminary review, general rehearsal and official flight on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2. Before the training session, the flight crew coordinated with the technical team to conduct a comprehensive inspection, from the engine, electrical system, technical parameters to fuel filling, ensuring that each helicopter was in the best condition before take-off and at the same time proceeded to hang the Party and National flags. This was a highlight performance, carrying deep symbolic meaning in the parade formation at Ba Dinh Square. On schedule, the entire helicopter formation took off from Hoa Lac airport, flying in a 1-3-3-3 formation. The pilots participating in the mission were all highly qualified, had solid technical skills, and accumulated many flight hours. For all members, it is a matter of pride to be involved in this important mission. The image of the Party flag and the national flag flying in the sky of Hanoi brings about heroic and emotional feelings. The squadron trained in strict formation: maintaining precise distance, altitude, and speed; closely coordinating with ground forces to align flight routes in sync with the parade formation on the ground. The helicopter carried the national flag fluttering in the wind. After completing the formation flight, the helicopters were instructed to land and return to the parking lot for inspection and maintenance, ready for the next training sessions and rehearsal before the Grand Ceremony.
