Young intellectuals need to define their mission and responsibility to join hands in building the country.

At the meeting, the Vice President emphasized the role of young intellectuals in "solving the problem of national development" and asked young intellectuals to continue promoting national pride and patriotism; identifying their mission, responsibility and honor to join hands in building the country in the new context, entering a new era.

Faced with many major issues facing Vietnam's socio -economy today, the Vice President hopes that young intellectuals will focus their research on the following areas: developing transport infrastructure; information technology; agricultural processing industry; improving the physical and intellectual strength of Vietnamese people; developing cultural industries and high value-added services such as finance and logistics; adapting to natural disasters and climate change, especially in vulnerable areas such as the Central region and the Mekong Delta.

Appreciating the significance of the Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals, the Vice President suggested that the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union continue to maintain and develop the forum as a platform to connect young intellectuals, create an environment for exchange, sharing, spreading the spirit of creativity, and offering advice for national development.

Along with that, relevant ministries and sectors need to coordinate to propose policies to promote talent according to the direction of General Secretary To Lam . Specifically, in August, ministries and sectors must propose outstanding policies to immediately attract 100 Vietnamese experts from abroad to return to work in the country, moving towards building a strategy to attract and develop intellectual resources until 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Receiving the direction of the Vice President, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam said that the Central Youth Union will closely coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and domestic and foreign partners to strongly promote the role of connecting, accompanying and creating conditions for young Vietnamese intellectuals to fully develop their potential and contribute more effectively to the common cause.
