People have started the first day off of the National Day holiday on September 2. However, at the construction site of the Eastern Ring Road project in Ha Tinh City, hundreds of engineers and workers are still working hard to "race" against time and are determined to stick to the schedule.

The Eastern Ring Road Project of Ha Tinh City has a total investment of VND 950 billion, using the Central Budget in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 and mobilizing other legal capital sources.

According to the design, the route has a total length of 15.778 km, starting at the intersection with Provincial Road 9 at Ho Do Bridge (Thach Ha Commune); ending at the intersection with National Highway 1 at Phu Bridge (Dai Nai Ward). The project will start construction in phase 1 from February 2023, directly managed by the Management Board of the City's Construction Investment and Land Fund Development Project.

At this time, the sections are entering the final stages of completing the roadbed construction phase. Despite the National Day holiday on September 2, at the construction sites, hundreds of workers along with machinery and equipment are still bustling, rushing to keep up with the progress with the spirit of working through the holidays .

At construction site K1+200, the section through Lien Ha village, Thach Ha commune, Khanh Mon Construction Company Limited is mobilizing all machinery and workers to complete the roadbed construction work.

Vehicles and machines are mobilized to the maximum, further increasing the competitive spirit of labor on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

For local locations, the unit must treat weak ground to ensure technical factors and construction quality.

Phase 1 of the project has 8 units implementing construction from Thach Ha commune to Do Ha bridge and part of Dai Nai ward. Currently, the units have basically completed the K95 embankment; some sections have implemented the K98 embankment and completed the upper part of the roadbed. The units are striving to complete 100% of the roadbed construction phase before this year's storm season to enter the acceleration phase of the project.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung - Deputy Site Commander of Construction Production Joint Stock Company 3 (Thai Nguyen) said: "The site is in the process of accelerating progress, so we are determined to focus on maximum construction capacity without taking holidays to make the most of time and sunny weather. Currently, 4 excavators, 2 bulldozers and 2 rollers are working regularly on the site, our brothers and sisters are assigned in shifts to ensure progress before the rainy season".

At the construction site of Bien Dong Construction and Consulting Joint Stock Company (Vinh City, Nghe An), the unit is both constructing the roadbed and building culverts, so dozens of workers, technical staff, supervisory consultants, etc. are constantly on duty at the construction site. The teams are divided into scientific shifts, working day and night with 3 continuous shifts.

Mr. Pham Huu Nhan - Head of the Sewer Construction Team of Bien Dong Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company shared: "Although it is a holiday, for us, the biggest goal is still to speed up the construction progress. The teams will still maintain a regular 10 - 12 people, working 3 shifts, regardless of day or night".

In order to support contractors, in the past time, the Project Management Board has consulted and coordinated with provincial departments and agencies to remove difficulties and obstacles, implement the project on schedule, and ensure the quality of the project according to plan. In particular, focusing on site clearance, marking and handing over clean land to the construction unit as soon as possible; creating conditions and flexibly handling administrative records and procedures...

The Eastern Ring Road Project of Ha Tinh City is one of the city's strategic infrastructure projects aimed at expanding urban space, effectively exploiting suburban land funds and creating momentum for socio-economic development of the locality in particular and the whole province in general. After more than 6 months of construction, the shape of the road is becoming clearer. With the spirit of urgent work, forgetting the holidays of the project management board officers and the construction unit, we believe that the project will soon be completed and handed over, put into use in 2025 as planned.

In recent times, with the attention and direction of the City People's Committee, the Project Management Board for Investment, Construction and Land Fund Development has consulted and coordinated with provincial departments and branches; related units, communes and wards to remove difficulties; focused on directing contractors to implement construction on schedule, ensuring project quality. Up to this point, the entire construction route is estimated to reach about 25% of the contract value. With the determination to speed up progress and proactively respond to the upcoming rainy and stormy season, the Project Management Board has encouraged contractors to mobilize human resources and construction machinery throughout the holidays, meeting the set plan. At the same time, the Project Management Board also arranged technical staff to closely monitor the construction site, closely direct the construction work and handle arising issues, creating favorable conditions for contractors to carry out construction smoothly.
