TPO - First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy presented the "For the Young Generation" Medal to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén, for his contributions to Vietnam - Cuba youth cooperation activities in recent times.
On November 1, in Hanoi, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy received and presented the "For the Young Generation" medal to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén.

Mr. Bui Quang Huy said that, with the attention and direction of the leaders of the two Parties and the two States, in recent times, the cooperative, solidarity and friendly relationship between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Cuban Communist Youth Union, as well as between the youth of Vietnam and Cuba, has been increasingly strengthened, effective and deepened, contributing positively to the development of the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba. The First Secretary of the Central Youth Union stated that in the general relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, especially the relationship between the youth of the two countries, there has been a great contribution from Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén. The Ambassador has actively promoted information exchange and delegation exchange activities between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Cuban Communist Youth Union; activities and initiatives to coordinate activities between the youth organizations of the two countries. The Ambassador also paid attention to promoting and maintaining the annual scholarship program of the Cuban Government for Vietnamese youth and students and the scholarship program of the Vietnamese Government for Cuban youth and students.

Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén appreciated the special affection of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnamese youth for the country and people of Cuba; and expressed his honor to receive the "For the Young Generation" Medal. Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén affirmed that the relationship between the two countries has always been good and increasingly close; the youth of the two countries have had many meaningful exchange and cooperation activities. The Ambassador suggested that the Communist Youth Unions of the two countries exchange delegations more often; and increase exchanges between the youth of the two countries' localities. First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Bui Quang Huy agreed with the opinion of Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén and affirmed that the relationship between the youth is the future of the relationship between the two countries. Mr. Huy hopes to continue to receive the attention, support and close coordination of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam, Cuban agencies and organizations to successfully organize programs and exchange and cooperation activities between the youth of the two countries, especially in 2025, the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba. Thereby, contributing to continuing to strengthen the traditional solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties, the two States and the peoples of Vietnam and Cuba.
