This morning (June 1), Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho chaired a conference to exchange and share experiences in implementing expressway projects in both direct and online forms with 37 connection points in localities.

At the conference, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho emphasized: The 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021 - 2030 was approved by the 13th National Party Congress, which identified one of the three strategic breakthroughs as "Continuing to perfect the synchronous and modern economic and social infrastructure, focusing on prioritizing the development of key transport infrastructure..." With the goal set by the Party and the Government, by 2030 the whole country strives to have 5,000 km of expressways, by 2025 to complete the Eastern expressway and over 3,000 km of expressways.
To achieve the goal of the whole country striving to reach over 3,000 km of expressway by 2025. This is a huge but extremely difficult task. The implementation of expressway projects in each locality has different characteristics. Therefore, in the process of implementing expressway projects, it is necessary to share practical experiences on procedural issues, site clearance, construction management organization, project management... so that the Central and localities can coordinate to effectively implement the projects.
The conference heard representatives of the Department of Construction Investment Management share some experiences in implementing the North-South Eastern Expressway projects, phase 2021-2025; appraisal and approval of investment projects; appraisal of technical designs and estimates; coordination to accelerate site clearance. Accordingly, the North-South Eastern Expressway Project, phase 2021-2025, is 721.3 km long, including 12 component projects, and was approved by the National Assembly in January 2022. By July 13, 2022, the Department of Construction Investment Management had advised the Ministry of Transport to approve all 12 component projects, meeting the required quality and progress.
At the conference, there were many presentations from relevant units on experience in implementing projects such as: experience in design and cost estimates; investment project preparation and technical design; topographic, geological, hydrological surveys and construction material mine investigations.
In addition, delegates also had many opinions to discuss and exchange on: procedures for exploiting construction material mines; management of construction material prices; security and order during project implementation; some common contents during inspection and auditing of projects in the form of designated bidding...
